Having thought about Bomber and Gazza for a while now, I don't think we should be to harsh with them.
We all knew Gazza was going to the Gold coast, it was just to much money to knock back.
Bomber is taking this opportunity to return to the club he loves. Who can blame him.
Neither of them have been truthful with the club, and therefor the supporters, and that is their shame.
Maybe it's a sign of the times.
We have to move on, the club is bigger than the individual. They will be missed, but I'm not about to slash my wrist over them.

Agree with you on that. both of them have given you a lot & now they are looking after themselves which is fair enough. I think its poor form though by Bomber not being at the presser today... Does he think he can just hide forever without answering the questions that people want to know?!

Yes, the press want to know when all this was decided. He'll probably wright a book in a couple of years and tell all.

Also, apparently GWS are chasing Bartel and could dangle captaincy infront of him to sweeten the deal. But he's been playing for only 400k a year. If he stayed for so long with that deal, don't think more money will tempt him as he will be getting a pay rise soon.

Sad the way Bomber and Ablett left but they were tempted. Don't like the way Bomber came to Essendon. I love that he came, but we all knew this was happening some time ago just like Ablett.

This is just my thinking but he probably sensed that Knights was on his last feet & so asked what was happening & they told him that they were looking to sack him & it went from there...

That sounds right to me. Maybe Hirdy stuffed up a beautiful plan by putting his hand up to coach. Or maybe Bomber did tell the truth about that, and just wanted an assistant coaches job.

Who knows. Essendons coaching situation is unique. A double premiership coach assisting a novice who's never coached a game. It could only happen here ;D
