Did Jayden Pitt win the new kicking drill test setup by Buckley at the draft camp?

I believe he did.  He was also tipped to go in the top 12 - 15 and slipped to us.  Great long term prospect pick up for us.  He is a bit skinny at the moment but nothing a couple of pre-seasons wont fix.  He has elite foot skills and decision making.  In other words he is a footballer first and an athlete second. (he still ran an 8 second agility and sub 3 sec 20m)

I hadn't realised that he had won the test. I am a little happier now but unless they bulk up i cant see anyone other than Mzungu or Pitt getting games early

Prob the "new wave" they're looking for - pinpoint kicking, must be looking for Hodge-type players - sounds like they don't need them now, looking for 2012 and beyond.

Hill was 1kg lighter than Pitt when he was drafted.  I think Mitchie, Pitt, Mzungu, Faulks and Jack (if we get him) will be pushing for spots next year.

It will be the first time that I can remember where we have gone in to a season with the player depth we have now.  The pressure on players to retain their spot will be huge which means that everyone will have to perform to keep their spot in the 21 (saying 21 instead of 22 just doesnt feel right)

No, 18 on field and 3 on bench.  Then you still have 1 as the substitute.... remember that the substitute may not play

The sub will nearly always play I reckon, just with limited time on ground.

Surely the sub player will be a running type player.  Someone who can come on and not rotate off for long periods.  This will allow your players who have played the whole game to rotate on and off as they will need it more.

Valk, I think it was more for the younger guys who have been drafted past 2-3 years.
