I read somewhere that Bomber was approached about a roll at Essendon as early as round 17. This whole thing with Bomber leaving is starting to get on the nose.
First of all, officials from another club approaching a senior coach of a team that will be playing in the finals is poor form.
Secondly it means Bomber has been lying to his employer for 2 or 3 months.
If this turns out to be true, then a pox on you and your house.
I don't have a problem with Bomber going back to you guys, but why lie about it to everyone?

Alex7089

The same reason Gary lied.
Didn't want to upset his club going in to finals.

Boomz

Or was it geelong that lied & he told them months ago he was done?

bunyip

I hear you Alex, but I don't know. Everyone knew Gazza was going. It seems to be the way for some people these days.
I just wish they could be more up front. and just say what they want to do.
Both Gazza and Bomber have a right to decide their own future, but I think we, as supporters deserved a bit better than this.
Anyway, good luck to him.

I doubt that Boomz. We'll never know the truth I guess.

There was a "conspiracy" going around a while back that Sanderson pulled out of the running for the port job coz he knew bomber was going...

bunyip

Actually, I heard that to, but payed it scant regard.

supercoach addict

It does seem a bit odd that he was said to be tired and dissatisfied  with coaching, but  a few weeks later he is ready to take on a senior assistant(or so I've heard) coaching position.

HillHero13

he said he is tired of senior coaching.. never ruled out going out of football at all..

not mention yes or no to senior assistant.. just doesnt want to be a head coach..

Boomz

True he worded it well but he mainly just stated he was burnt out... I didn't think he would do it but it seems certain to happen now.
