Summary:

Wasn’t kosi’s finest year in 2010, highlighted by his side losing the grand final. Has been the big FF for the saints primarily being the target deep and the saints utilise his commitment to the contest as so the talented small forwards can crumb off him. If you started kosi for some reason you would have been sad as his price plummeted and had scores around the 50 mark all year. Kicked 25 goals 14 behinds in 2011. Personally I think the style of the ‘saints footy’, switching play in the backline and holding onto the ball when momentum swings against them really affects kosi’s potential output.

The crystal ball:

Price - $279,000

Position â€" Forward

Verdict:

I hear many criticise this guy, and I agree he seems a little clumsy at times.  But personally I’m a fan -I’d love him to be FF at the bombers, he is very hard at the ball, takes a good grab and does kick pretty well and capable of big momentum swinging 50m goals â€" he demands a good opponent on him. Fantasy wise he will never be a premium. However, St Kilda no longer have King, and atm gardner does not look like he will play in 2011. If gardner doesn’t play, the role for kosi could be more time in the ruck which means he’ll score more than he would just playing FF. Yes they have Rhys Stanley but seems like he isn’t quite there yet to play 22 games. McEvoy will probably do the majority of ruck work in 2011 and I’d say kosi will be pinching in and going forward esp with no Michael Gardner if he doesn’t play.

Therefore at 279k if playing in the ruck I think he is a very good option. No risk with him not getting selected as there would be with other forwards around his price tag. In 2007 he averaged 84.2 from 19 games mostly being in the ruck. If he can average 80 for 8 rounds he is a good mid-price option for an upgrade to a fallen premium.

Will you pick up Justin Koschitzke????????????

I agree with you 100%, he is a good player but just not fantasy wise. I will not take him however as I will be taking Roo from the start

It's not that Kosi doesn't involve himself in games, it's just that he doesn't get involved in the SC scoring side of things, know what I mean?

BoredSaint

is this a joke??
not even gonna touch him..

Koschitzke lacks footy smarts, makes far too many errors and I think is a liability to the Saints.

No way.

Boomz

He's an alright player but he's only there to drag attention away from Roo... Not going to score any better no matter where he plays. No thanks.

Smiles, smirks, suppresses a little giggle, smirks again, then just can't help it......Kossi, Lol.

Funniest thread ever, very amusing.

S_Coach99

The day I have Kossi in my super coach is the day they introduce priority picks in Fantasy Football...

DazBurg

i'll take Kosi if i'm trying to finish my worst place ever!
:P

good write up though  ;)

A big fallacy is the idea that "Koschitzke, demands a good opponent". That is simply not true. Koschitzke will not dominate any opponent big or small. Look at the last 5 minutes of the drawn GF. Kosi has no balance. He was hopeless. With 3 minutes to go he went for a ruck knock with no opposing ruckman anywhere in sight and he did an "airy". He just does nothing. A stay at home FF since round 3 with no Roo and kicks one goal a game.

MajorLazer

I like potatoes but not this kind of  spud.
Really don't think he has shown anything from a fantasy perspective and even as a full forward. Roo would steal goals and marks from him anyway.

Maca24

cops it harsh because he was such a high pick.
does his role even though he is SO inconsistent.
no from me.

Torress

he aint a spud is a big man playing in a poofy modern era where it moves around too quick and too much non-influential stats  he does need a good opponent on him he is KEY position! some of u blokes are disrespectful on these forums - after all kosi is a LEAGUE footballer!
