You play 2 matches a week and there are 36 matches in each season. So 18 weeks

In most standard leagues, everybody plays the opposition twice. Shaggy went for 4 times :o. Also means less prize money and cup matches :(.

Defence will be a strong point for me. Attack isn't half bad but is pretty lethal on their day :P.
