If he's owned by an external team, then can pay minimum price asked. If he's owned by another manager, can pay a little higher but depends on what he is currently valued at.

Well he is 92 and currently is owned by a managed team, so you want to offer high enough that the manager will want to accept.
What you can do, here on FF, you can PM Cookie Monster and try negotiate a deal.

K thanks. Im trying to get A Young of Chelsea. I dont care about Van der Vaart any more. PS does anyone know how to edit your bday. I was on my iphone and clicked the wrong one.

Under Home, Click Account Settings then Change Details.

What you should do, especially with Chelsea, just try get some people on Loan to help fill the squad a little.
But players that are really good and valuable to their team wont be allowed to be loaned out, but people like Young can.
Also, I would advise when you make an offer, to click Undisclosed Offer, therefore no one else can see what you offered and it will be harder for others to make a better deal because they wouldnt know what to compare it to.

I can Loan you Henderson if you want.

Hmm a 1 nil loss to Milan, meaning I have now lost 3 of my last 4 games...
Perhaps a change in strategy is required so I can keep hold of second place since it doesn't look like anyone will catch zz! :o

Speaking of tactics though, can someone explain how Milan beat me? If you look at their formation they end up with no forwards, no wingers, but 4 attacking mids ::)

My team is no where near the top teams so im trying to get some good players like Xavi,Maicon,Gomez and Villa. If all the offers that i made are accepted i will still have 90-100 mill left.

Well lets look at this. First at Manchester City - ZZ:
He plays a 3-5-2. (Worth noting at this stage that for My Atletico Madrid team, I play the same formation while my best players are Ibrahimovic, Forlan, W Samuel, Vucinic and Diarra, and my team is Dominating)
A Young and average backline with Kompany leading.
Then the rest of his team kills it.

I think a key way in winning is by having a mix of players in the same position that suit well in real life. For example, if you have 3 CM's for the formation, play one DM, one CM, and one AM. I believe that that should help as it is a mix.
Now the Team Style and Player Assignments will be unique, as well as the Arrows for your players.
Because I am nice i will add a few points here. I believe the defence should be untouched in terms of arrows. The midfield should combine of at least 1 arrow back and 2 forward (one Central one Winger). I also believe that if you set your tactics around a certain player, the chemistry works out well. So with ZZ, he can have Gomez that his team centres around, and have 2 midfielders have an arrow pointing TOWARDS him. Then make him your target man.

With your team CF, there are no arrows, and i believe they help. its just a matter of experimenting with them.
Although your team is stacked with guns, the player assignments is crucial. I believe a DM should take the corners, while a midfielder or winger with his arrow going forward as your playmaker.
You're also not playing a CentralForward.

This may have helped you, this may have not, but In review, the player assignments, formation, team style and arrows are all important. And i think the defence is your last priority.

Good luck Jake! Tends to cost quite a bit for the best players in the game so might be tough at first.
