This team goes againstall the advice i have given to other teams, but i tried to create a team in the same mould as this years winner. (obvioulsy rookies would change but starting 22 looks very strong and there are no more than 1 person on each line from 1 team and each team has only 1 or 2 players represented in the 22.)

Goddard, Hodge, Deledio, Broughton , Adcock , Houli , Otten (Howard, Mzungu, Richardson)
Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Anthony, Swallow, Foley (gaff, Conca, krakouer)
Petrie, Tippet (Smith, Daw)
Franklin, Reiwoldt, Pavlich, Sylvia, Knights, Pettered, Vezpremi ( lamb, matera, darling)

Lack of MPP is what sticks out to me.  I also see you have Vezpremi :P (our convo)

i was just trying to make a team that is the best 22 on papaer and not care about MPP, if i look through the draw and i believe that this team wont have any problems than im seriously considering no MPP. I just need to make sure there are no more than 2 per line out every week, because with the 3 bench players you should be able to cover it.  Just to make sure i might downgrade someone like Sylvia to darling and then load up the bench with all the top rookies

MPP is such an over rated thing, if you have cover on your bench then you shouldnt need it in theory. and if u take a player from one position ur creating a hole in another

By moving players around using MPP you can take advantage of a better scoring bench player

Example:

Midfield player A is out
Midfield bench ave 55
Forward bench ave 65

Forward player A MPP's to midfield
Midfield player A goes to bench
Forward bench player comes on and you get his of score 65 instead of just subbing Midfield players and scoring 55

= 10 extra points

Alphaman

thats where people are going to lose points.

Instead of picking the better selections on the bench which will earn more points and money they are opting for more MPP. Is it really worth picking up a few MPP who wont do as good as a normally positioned players just to have the luxury of swapping for 10 extra points? IMO your better spending the time to research good benched players to cover and make more money cos lets face it people are picking average cash cows who are MPP over good cash cows for luxury.

MPP should be used as emergancy cover in the late rounds when trades are gone.

Holz

i agree 100% i orgininally thought MPP was vital for this year but on firther analysis i dont think it is.

Vezpremi n Pettard a no go fo me there Holz

Holz

im not sure on vezpremi but i really like petterd, melbourne are improving and i think he could average a mid 70s score. I would really like to fit in Fev instead of vezpremi, i think he could be a simular pick to barry this year but beter.

elephants

yeah i think pettard should stay and may i join a league with you Alphaman?

browny_wce

oi are we fanfooty regulars starting a league next year??

Holz

i would love the create a superleague and push to become the top league. I think my league finished about 100, but we carried a few teams averaging under 2000

Holz

i really want to put brown and fev into the team if they have decent preseasons. I also really like the look of rioli in the team.  If brisbane pick a midfield rookie iwht their pick i will get him, however he is as he is assured to get gametime and possesions

browny_wce

well brisbane have pick 5, and west coast have pick 4 and its looking like either Gaff or Heppell are going to go to either of those clubs and they both rack it up for their clubs and under18s rep sides so they are deffinate talents

Alphaman

im keen for a super league haha!
