Hey everyone!  ;D

After giving SuperCoach a break of a month, it's safe to say that my 2011 SuperCoach pre-season training has begun!

I've vowed to research harder, strategise better, and hopefully break into the top 5,000 this year.

After a few days of initial research and development, I've put together a team, and amazingly its one I'm really happy with. Obviously there will be drastic changes as the months go on, but its nice to have a good starting point to work with.

So, without further ado, here is The Caveman's 2011 SuperCoach Team v0.1.

Back: Hodge, Deledio, Hurn, Drummond, Duffield, Otten, Mzungu
Emg: Richardson, Iles, X. Clarke

Centre: Goddard, Swan, Selwood, Foley, Swallow, Gaff
Emg: Bewick, Krakouer, Sewell

Rucks: Sandilands, Mumford
Emg: Smith, Daw

Forward: Chapman, N. Riewoldt, Didak, Goodes, Petterd, Petrie, Lamb
Emg: Butcher, Matera, Talia

Remaining Budget: $100. Thats right.

I honestly reckon that with the wealth of talent coming in this year, how can you not have at least one on field in each position (except rucks though I had contemplated including Day as a 2nd ruckman)

Of course, a lot of this will change in the coming weeks, with the draft and the fixture being announced. Then of course, we'll have to wait to the SuperCoach launch day to see those all important MPP changes. Gibbs, Ablett and even Day could still get a run in my team...

So, now its your turn to help me out, what do you think of my team? Oh, and when you do, post a link for your team, so I return the favour.

Thanks!

Good team only things i can see are that you have no M/F in the mids so no way of switching around Goodes, Didak etc. With the byes coming in MPP will be even more important.

Also seeing as you already have 2 D/M in the defence then there's really no use having Clarke, hes injury prone and at the same price as a rookie who we don't no if he is injury prone, the rookie would be more likely to make you money.

the link to my team if you wouldn't mind rating it is- http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,22553.0.html

Is that 100K or just $100?

Good team I think, but needs an MPP between the forwards and mids in the midfield.

Nice backs and agree with MTTY with the point about Clarke, unless Clarke does well preseason and then he should be considered.

Yeah, MPP's are a hard one mainly because its pure speculation about whos going to be playing where next year, for all we know, Goddard could become a pure midfielder and we could (should) see Ablett become a Mid/Fwd.

Like I mentioned, its only the beginning, but MPP's will change up the team somewhat.

Thanks for your input though, I do appreciate it. I'll start putting together a MPP one now based on the Fanplanner possies just to see what I can manage.

Oh, and Benjy its just $100 not $100,000. I'd like to see anyone get $0 with a decent looking team....

Looks like a very strong team to me, but as the others said you haven't got that link between the mids and the forwards.
Maybe move chappy to the centre, goddard to the backs, and replace either hodge or deledio with a pavlich.
i reckon you need to be careful with mummy though, cos he only did really well when seaby got injured. he didn't score a century when seaby played. so he could be like clarke this year and not perform when a second strong ruckmen comes in to the side.

oh by the way my team is here: http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,22233.0.html
Haven't touched it in a few weeks though...

Very nice team, not sure about Mummy.

MPP isnt a huge deal, its just really handy.
if you can get mcniel in then you will have MPP and you wont have to change your premiums. i really like your team c4.
maybe mummy to ryder or jolly? if you like mummy you can keep him IMO.
dont like forward rookies but if u must u may as well get darling.
he will be 100k even though the fanplanner says he will be 170k.

hurn is a bit of a lineball call but foley has the potential to aerage around 90 and go upwards of 150k up in price

haha!! i can't wait to see HTM's team
From the advice he's given he won't have any cheap forwards and at the same time it will be completely unique(so it doesn't look like he's so called copied others)
