Hawka

This guy has hardly had any natinol team succes unlike alot of the players on here but i think he is a fantastic defensive/holding midfielder

MICHEAL ESSIEN

CrowsFan

Very nice pick hawka. Took over from Makelele in the chelsea team with ease

benjy251090

I agree that he is a good player, but there are better holding midfielders around in my opinion

Andrew3737

I think there are better players avaliable, but as a defensive midfielder, I think he is fine.

chrisuzz

Well since all the goalkeepers seem to getting picked now I better make a choice before I end up with Calamity James :P
I pick a player who has just had his 40th birthday. Mr Edwin van der Sar

van der Sar has had an amazing career. He has won the champions league twice, with both Ajax in 95 and with United in 08. In total he was won 25 different trophies throughout his career. He has been named European goalkeeper of the year twice, dutch player of the year, premier league goalkeeper of the year, plus a lot of other individual honours. He also holds the world record for longest time without conceding a goal, lasting 1,311 minutes before letting one in his net. One of the greatest keepers going around.
van der Sar has also made the most number of appearances for Holland, representing his country 130 times

Going to pick my left winger now, and it is another United player I am going for. With just those 2 clues anybody would be able to guess who I am talking about. I pick the Welsh wizard Ryan Giggs.

Giggs is one of only 2 people to have played in every season of the premier league since it changed its name back in 1992. He is also the only player to have scored in every season of the premier league. A great achievement. He has made more appearances for United than any other player history, and has now played almost 850 first team appearances. Giggs has won more league titles than any other player, currently at 11 and will hopefully be 12 come the end of this season :)
He has been named in the premier league team of the year 8 times and was also named in the english league team of the century. Giggs is arguably the greatest player never to play in the world cup
