Drop 100k in price and you still would feel queasy getting him.

Good luck in your return Matthew but it's a no from me.

Warnocks development may bring about Matthews return to the side via a much talked about pre last season role in the forward line. This would ease him in and see him subbed off too under the new rule, no use in risking one of your jets.
Will only have point impact later in the season and then we can jump on after he has dropped dramatically in coin IMO.

Krueze wouldn`t score as well while playing in the forwardline you`d think.

not going to start with him, but if he scores very well he might be the upgrade target for petrie

the guy who comes in for the mpp filling the other hole what does he score? unless ur stacking guns on the bench not worth the risk imo

mophead222

next year i will lock him in :)

MTTY

Could be a good unique if he is fit and firing but i doubt i will pick him or even upgrade to him as he has the late bye

"Kreuzer takes cautious approach"

CARLTON ruckman Matthew Kreuzer has refused to put a timeline on his comeback from a knee injury but will resume training with the main group in the next two weeks.

The 21-year-old underwent a knee reconstruction last season after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in round 13 and since then, it has been a long and frustrating journey back for Kreuzer.

While a round one comeback at this stage seems unlikely, Kreuzer hopes he won't be too far off the season opener.

"The knee is coming along well," Kreuzer told afl.com.au.

"I'm just trying to get my leg strength back and obviously hope to start training in the next couple of weeks and go from there.

"But as I said, I'm not putting any time frame on it yet but hopefully in the near future I'll be back.

"I've still got a few weeks [until round one] but I'd be pushing it

"Hopefully [I return] not too far from the start of the season."

The 200cm tall has spent the pre-season jogging laps while his teammates prepared for the season ahead and although Kreuzer can't wait to join the rest of the side, he is taking a cautious approach with his recovery.

"Obviously it's been a while now and it's been a bit frustrating but it's just one of those slow injuries and you can't really rush it," Kreuzer said.

"After the Christmas break [it was really hard] seeing the boys starting to get into game mode. I'm just itching at the bit to get out there but I just can't at the moment. Once I start training I'll be a bit more relaxed and start enjoying it a bit more instead of running along the boundary."

The new interchange rules this season, with interchange benches shortened to three with one substitute added, looks set to help Kreuzer find his feet when he does eventually return to senior football with the tall set to spend more time on the ground in 2011.

The number one draft pick in 2007 has been a handy addition to the Blues' forward structure in previous years with 31 career goals to his name and said he expected to find himself up forward more often.

"With the new rules this year with three on the bench, I think a ruckman will be playing more forward and swapping directly into the ruck," Kreuzer told afl.com.au.

"So that'd be good for me, I can spend more time on the ground when I'm back."

Kreuzer also said the new interchange rule could would benefit versatile players such as Setanta O'hAilpin, who was dropped from the Carlton side in round 15 and struggled to regain a senior position last season.

"Yea it's going to help Setanta," Kreuzer said.

"We've got a lot of boys like that as well. Shaun Hampson and Robbie [Warnock] can both play forward.

"Jarrad Waite can play forward or back so I think teams are going to need those versatile players to step up a little bit more because it’s going to be more demanding on them."

Carlton kicks off the home and away season on March 24 against Richmond.

Sounds like an easy does it ...
Possible upgrade target later in the season and that way you get to see how he returns and i'm hoping he has a bit of a price drop as he gets back into things over a few games ...  ;)
