Why would anyone draft in a player who is not going to play the first 5-10 rounds?

Definite no.
Gotta Agree - Not even a 1st Year SC'er who's never watched a game would do that - Actually, maybe they would  ;D

Geez Master Q - are we agreeing!!!!

Lock your windows, unknown forces might be about to collide, anything could happen.  ;)

"Blues back with Kreuzer on track to return"
Source: Realfooty - Martin Boulton - January 7, 2011

HERE is the sight Carlton fans have been waiting to see; some fresh hope for a new year.

The Blues returned to the training track yesterday amid growing optimism star ruckman Matthew Kreuzer could play in round one against Richmond.

The 21-year-old former No. 1 draft pick ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament in round 13 last year, but worked through straight-line running at Visy Park.

As teammates endured a gruelling 2½-hour session in bright morning sun Kreuzer repeatedly ran up and down a boundary line.

The 200-centimetre ruck/forward would make his return to football just nine months after surgery on his left knee if he lines up against the Tigers in round one, but teammate Andrew Carrazzo shares the optimism around the club.

''Everyone's hoping for round one and if the way he's moving at the moment is any indication then he's definitely going to be ready and raring to go by round one,'' Carrazzo said.

- also a little bits about L Henderson, N Duigan, B McLean, will put in team topic post under AFL section ...

Yeah.... I don't think he'll come out the gate firing! He's always been a consistent 80odd scorer, never the big centuries yet. Why, coming after a serious injury, would he suddenly start scoring them?

Maybe later in the year....

He did, and I'm a fan of him, and no doubt he WILL score them high and consistent eventually.

Just not at the start of this year :)

Barlow 21

Hard to consider due to highly unlikely to play rnd 1. Upgrade/LTI trade target.
