Ryan Hargrave
2010 Stats:
Games: 19
Total Score: 1452
Average: 76.6
Centuries: 2 of 19
Standard Deviation: 23.7
High: 124(Round 16)
Low: 9(Round 3)
Starting Price: 514,200
High Price: 447,700
Low Price: 363,000

Summary: Ryan Hargrave came off a promising 2009 season, where he averaged 96, but didn't get anywhere near these numbers in 2010 as he let down many coaches who took the punt on him, averaging 76. A lot depends on his role, as he can play as a tall defender or a rebounding half back(racking up the cheapies). With Harbrow gone, he may take over his role and return to his good scoring.

The Crystal Ball:
Price: 406,800
According to last years magic number

Price: 387,300
According to m0ntys fanplanner

Verdict: 50/50 for me, will watch his pre-season to see if he can take over Harbrows role and return to premium scoring. Will be cheap for his potential, but is not a proven SC player.
Will you pick Hargrave in 2011?

#1
doubtful i'll pick him
but as u say Aidan if he has a good preseason stranger things can happen
but at the moment he very unlikely and will probably stay that way

Fletch74

Unlikely for me.

2009 was great for him, but he averaged 76 in 2008, and I'm starting to think that 09' was a once off, but who's to say he couldn't turn it around. Harbrow gone, might have an impact too.

ossie85

I picked him up during the year when he was really cheap, was serviceable but didn't average as much as I'd like. Perhaps, but unlikely

Not looking like an early starter now ...

WESTERN Bulldogs defender Ryan Hargrave could be sidelined until Round 7 after aggravating a foot injury.

On the day teammate Matthew Boyd was confirmed as the club's new captain, it was revealed Hargrave had undergone a second round of surgery on the foot he injured last year.

"He (Hargrave) had a foot operation where he had a bone transplanted into his foot from his hip," coach Rodney Eade said yesterday.

"It was going along well, then he just had the lightest of runs and felt a little bit of pain. There was a little bit of a hot spot . . . but they decided to go back in and just put a plate over it, just to strengthen it. Obviously it will put him back a little bit, but it was more about being safe than sorry.

"So he probably should be able to play, we would think, by early May."
