Depends Zz. If ou want him to be really good now then yes. If you don't train primaries now though you won't get much of a chance later on.

Generally that would be a minimum req. for secondaries, well maybe not the power but...

You need Endurance a lot more than you will need the power just yet. -_- Get the Endurance to capable and fielding to reasonable.
