Which delisted players will get picked up?

Given the compromised draft I would expect more delisted, VFL & SNAFL/WAFL players to get picked up than in previous years.

Already the GC has signed players like Danny Stanely from Collingwood & Sam Illes from Box Hill and the Pies have picked up Krakouer so more broadly I was wondering who else you thought might get pick up from the current delisted crop.

Just to name a few at this stage - Simon Taylor, Brad Fisher, Cameron Stokes, Jordon McMahon, Ryan Gamble, Troy Selwood, Tyson Slattery, Brad Miller, Ed Barlow, Carl Paterson, Dean Polo.

Thoughts?

I would add ruckmen Jonathan Giles to the list of players to get picked up.
Used to play at Port Adelaide, and had a very good year in the SANFL according to the reports

Miller I think has been in talks with a few teams. Think Gold Coast were one but there was another on the tip of my tongue. Will add experience to their forward line but forgot who.

Gamble and Peterson should get another go. Not sure if Peterson is ready though (people say he misses home in the NT).

Was the Tigers interested in Miller to give Jackaroo support

Surely JKT will go round again?

The the one ossie :-[. Knew it was a lower ranked team. Could still be serviceable I guess.

JKT I believe still has something to give but might find it hard getting a new home in a draft full of midfielders. Good luck to him though.

Really surprised JKT was given flick. Felt he gave the Hawks something that they don't have enough of which is run of half back.

Peterson won't play AFL again, just not a match. Has the talent though. Stokes is rubbish.

Moss and Muston might get a go at another club.

Can't say I know enough about most of the delisted players outside the Hawks to list players that could get picked up. I know enough to tell you who wont though :)

Maybe someone will have a go at Jaxson Barham? Another player I thought was unlucky.

Anyone with some midfield pace been delisted so far?

I reckon Brad Fisher might get another crack.
Possibly Saints as a mid-sized forward option???

Polo and McMahon have pace but more half back flankers.

Selwood is a good tough player but injuries taking a slight toll on him :(. Would love to see him go to West Coast though ;).

Can't see McMahon being picked up. Polo could but I doubt it will be Hawthorn. Maybe with a very late pick. We have some room on our list now  ;)

I don't see either getting picked up but you wanted pace ;).

The Hawks are slow. We have some quick players in the VFL side, but they haven't quite made that next step- primarily Shiels and Savage. Have to wait until the pre-season comp but unless either of these guys make the step we are going to have to recruit speed because it shows us up horribly at times.

Wasn't JKT already a mature age recruit by Hawthorn? Wouldn;t that make him a mature mature age recruit for someone else?

Gamble will go somewhere else but I can't see anyone taking the risk on Fisher.

From memory JKT came from the WAFL at 24 so he is probably 25 now.
