Its actually about 3.5 weeks per pop - but most times you have a little extra in the sub level so it only takes 3.  Depending on how much that is then the second pop will take either 3 or 4 pops.  A lot of the time you have enough sub level that it only takes 6 but you should always account for 7 weeks.

How much are these guys worth, considering putting an agent on oi\ne due to being at school when bidding ends

Being very optimistic in my mind if you think you can get him for 325k. Using the predictor in a lavish academy he can come out of the youths at exp/exp with reas fielding and endo (assuming no sub skills). I would expect 400+ for him.
I reckon you should just make your guy a keeper and save the cash on Ebsworth.
McCullough is atrocious in bowling and keeping, neither of which matter for being a batter. His only downside is the dreadful endo
