Well I pulled a Scottish batsmen this week and got this... Myles Ramsay

A 20,875 avg/dread batsmen, but with ordinary keeping and avg fielding, so what do I do.... :-\ :-\ I figure I have 3 options?

1) Sell him now, although at week 9 in the season I don't I'd get a great deal with a tech gap that big!

2) Train him to be my keeper, considering my current keeper is 19, by training him on keeping and fielding for the next season and a half. Hopefully that will help in closing the tech gap. I have a reasonable YA. He currently has 2,875 Spare ratings...

3) Train him on keeping and endo until the end of the season, then sell him and hope that his tech pops at least once and I can get an inflated price at EOS

Any advice would be appreciated ;) Cheers guys :)

Anyone else have a thought as to what I should do with this guy, other than Baz's opinion.

And then you have to also count your ex-players that you sold as well...

I sold 3 abover 50. Think all you want but my youth team would not be ranked 1600 when my senior 20/twenty team is 800 with an awesome youth academy.

After this season I'm not going to concentrate on my Youth's anymore. My aim is just to get up to Div 3, then concentrate on Seniors. I'll keep my YA at reasonable I think though

I just put my YA down to 0 investment. Not going to care about them til my seniors are better.

Fletch you could just train him to be an opening batsmen by sticking him on batting tech.
With his tech on dreadful it would be too hard to try and train keeping and batting so maybe just focus on the batting?

Maybe he could be a good keeper? The tech will close after a while of keeping and fielding training. Thanks though ;)

Good Luck CF. It's good if you want to train up your players for your Seniors. I probably have none this season (although 3 just fall short out of the 4) but next season is when it all starts 8).

Barlow is right. YA does increase your chances but it is still quite random (although unfair). Some guys with Deluxe Academies have had rubbish pulls this season. Many moan on their forums ;).

Fletch, Batting Tech will close the Gap faster although training him as a predominantly Keeper should work well (but Tech pop will take a while unless he has a high sub-level). I've got a guy similar. Ave Batting and Keeping but ATROCIOUS Tech ::). Keeping/Fielding FTW as I need a Keeper :P.

My youth pull Markus de Groot is up to $31k with 8 hours to go :D

That's the most I have ever sold a youth pull for :)

With that talent, I reckon you'll get maybe 150k or more. It's just the power that needs some work.

It's not slower ball talent, it is old ball bowler, which is still very good for a fast medium to have :)
