Youth Pulls

I'm working on my superior academy results, and from the first week I had everything being under by 7-10 points (Bear in mind this is when the predictor says excellent) however power on 23yo was still over by 43 points!

Should I just pull general?

I've pulled seam bowler for 2-3 seasons now with the theory that if I get a run FAST bowler he'll be worth more than a random gun.

I mean should I pull my youths as 'general'

I have been pulling 'seam bowler' for 2-3 seasons now.

The theory is that if I pull general I'm more likely to get a batter/keeper/finger spinner/medium

Than if I just pull 'seam bowler' where I can only get med/fast med/fast

Pulling general means a much smaller percentage of my pulls will end up being fast bowlers. And if I do get a gun I'm hoping it'll be a fast/fast medium as they'll sell for more than a dime a dozen batter.

Yeh i find General is usually better, ive pulled a LF Fast Bowler with a relevant talent that ended up playing U19 Nats whilst trying to pull 'Keeper-Batsman' its all luck of the draw really!

Though i reckon General is probably the best from my experiences, seems to be weighted towards more batters though for some reason or it could just be me!

at first i thought 20K + rating how else would you feel, but looking at him, i get it, all the good things are wrong :)

good power but he is a spinner, so train him as a batsmen, but then he is gifted in bowling. if you train him in bowling shame about the decent keeping rating.....

not sure how i'd feel either...

BETTER than i feel about the 14k rated spud i pulled and fired...  that much I'm sure of :)

I didn't think he was too bad until I noticed his age.

fielding is the thing that trains fastest as a youth by far so not such a bad thing, his tech will end up miles ahead of his bat/bowl by the time you get him to avg fielder but he could still make a good youth player i reckon unless you are in the upper levels, so kinda of speaking for my noob self when saying that....

also could be close to popping in bat or bowl looks like he has about 3000 points of extra ratings too so not too bad ?
