just train keeper for a bit to catch it up and then tech to close the gap to the batting then put him on keeper/bat from there

Depends on your YA level and finances.  Keepers normally go for a little more.  This player will need a lot of work to fix the tech gap and fielding.  I would train on fielding to at least reasonable - hope that you get a tech pop as well :)

Then switch to keeping - if keeping pops before tech then switch to bat tech to try and catch the tech up.  If you get to 1 level apart then switch to keeper/batsman
