De-Listed Gems

Now I know that in most cases clubs de-list players for one reason, they don’t cut it at AFL level.

But sometimes a change of scenery and a different coach can dramatically improve a player both on and off the field.

Out of the players de-listed from clubs so far, is there anyone that Jimmy and his merry men should look at picking up as a late draft pick, rookie pick or pre-season draft pick?

I’m thinking:

Peterson (HAW) â€" Has disciplinary problems in dealing with being a professional athlete but could add the spark and x-factor to our forward line if hirdy can get his head right...

Gamble (GEE) â€" May be worth a punt as a decent run at the AFL level might turn him into a good utility for us....

I agree with the idea but not with either of the players... Gamble wouldn't be terrible but I think we could get someone better or just as good with the pick we would have to use on him. Peterson has been at 2 different clubs now & hasn't cut it at both... I don't think he'll change anytime soon.

Not many de-listed players that I think we would want....

+1 Gamble would be ok, but there is no way Peterson will play at another club IMO

I think Jimmy is happy with what we have ATM, otherwise he would have traded more agressively.

Agreed, Hale is no good I would be surprised if he averaged over a possession a game -_-

Yep & I'm a big skipper fan after he saved me quite a few times in DT & SC this year ;D

Reckon Skipper should find a new home. This year gave teams a taste of his potential upside. I would love him as a 4th ruckman on our list :P.

I really like Gamble. I see alot of talent in him if given opportunity as well as being kept in line. We need forward options and he could provide a good one.
