I think the correct decision has been made gents. The dibs system was out of control...

The only concern I have going forward is that I often bid on a player well in advance so they are bookmarked, so I may not have the leading bid. i don't like to keep bidding like the newbies do, until I have to, but its all good ;)

Ditto. I make one bid to bookmark then don't enter till there's less than 5 minutes to go id he's in my price range. Without dibs I see the potential that I'll power a lot of FF'er's off  :P

Maybe it will be a good idea to still post a link of players that we are interested in, so that everyone is aware that we will be chasing that player.
