tbh I'm pretty much fed up of having to look through pages of dibs & then half the time missing the dibs anyway so no matter what u guys decide I'm not going to be checking for dibs... I'll acknowledge if an FFer has the leading bid & if I need them badly I'll just sort it out with the person...

I suggested earlier in this thread that we should introduce a $$$ cap on dibsed players, meaning when a player reaches this amount, dibsed are void.
Eg if I have a dibs and the cap is 100k, if this player reaches 100k then anyone can go for him.
Also I reckon limiting dibs to a certain amount per week. Maybe 2 or 3. This is cos some of us are on FTP much more than others and can do more research on the Transfer Market.
that is actually how it started the rule was player name link and what u will go up too
if he went past that he was fair game

though ppl seemed to stop doing that :(
It's because it's hard to see ghe will go up to and if people are really desperate for a player, they will go higher than their dibs to get them anyway.

That's what I think should happen, BOOMZ.

yeah but what I mean is limiting the $$$ amount that anyone can call a dibs on. If you make that limit 50k (for example) then no-one can ever call dibs for more than this amount, and once the player reaches this amount, then anyone can bid on him.

DazBurg

ok sounds good but i think we still need to show some form of respect

and look out for some of the lower guys that are still finding their way

that has got some merit that way if we lucky enough to score a bargain like ur guy the other day well done and if not then fair game

Edit: though  problem with that is we still might have to go thru 10 pages to see dibs

i think scrapping it and having a week trial and comment at the end of the week to see if anyone changed there minds

I.E if it works out better or if we start getting into bidding wears which is bad

Bazinga

You dont need to search through 10 pages daz. All you need to do is do a search of the players name on the cricket thread. If the guys name appears in the search from the trade markets trends thread, then there is a good chance that he has been dibsed.

thats what i do Baz

i wasn't saying bout the 10 pages i was just repeating what ML and boomz didn't like ;)

i'm easy either way i hard;y ever dibs but i would like it to stay in a way for the fact that i hardly do it be a shame now for me to miss out

since i miss so much already cuz of work

but either way i'm sure if i was the leading bid and ML wanted to go he could or he might ask first or he might go and i could message him

i'm sure there's way to sort it out

MajorLazer

I can say that if I wanted a player another FFer was going for, I'd ask them or at least let them know I was.

Boomz

Same as ML... Obviously there would be some that wouldn't do that (u know who u r) but it's more confusing & messy with all the dibs atm.

roo boys!

Yeah. We are still a team even if there are no dibs.

Btw Stewart Smith has been listed, 17 year old with Reasonable bowling. Hope that attracts bids.

HillHero13

what if someone dibs someone and he is offline at the deadline? free marlet?

thats what should happen ML, but in the end, if someone like Barlow with heaps of $$$ really wants a guy then he can keep outbidding you. How do you create a fair system without dibsing players?

Alex7089

I am fine with getting rid of dibs. In my opinion dibs was there to help us all move forward and make successful clubs and I thnk a lot of us have done that now so there is no need. Dibs started when FF was a lot smaller and people didn't just dibs people they kind of wanted so it would take about a week to go through a few pages instead of a day. Now there are over 2 dozen FF FTP members and it is too hard.

Boomz

In the end it's a game.. it's a competitive thing yes we are all from FF but we all want to be better than eachother at the end of the day...
