I say if your team is struggling, go for primaries first. If they are doing alright, try to take them to reasonable/capable Fielding. I started with Reasonable fielding last season but raised it to Capable this season for 20/21 year olds. 23+ have to be at least Reliable for me.

Power isn't a big thing for me but I'll start training my guys once they reach Exp/Exp or Outs/Outs and are 23+ as well. Endurance though is what I'm trying to get to Capable for all my seniors at least (although some still falling short).

Maca24

Thanks HP that helps heaps. really needed a guide on how you look at training, so cheers. :)

You need cap/cap power/fielding but keep in mind it is better to train fielding/primaries young then power when they are 24-26.

So my advice would be cap fielding now aiming for reli in the future, then primaries then power down the track.

Although for me cap endo comes above everything with reliable being preferable.

yea i see... cheers alex :)

Look at Habib from my team, he's like the perfect All-Rounder when it comes to Secondaries :D. Cap Power, Cap/Rel Fielding and Cap/Rel Endurance at 22 8). But only Acc/Acc in primaries but will be Exp/Exp sometime next season.

Fielding trains faster when younger like Alex said so good to get it out of the way early. I have tried to do the same for my Youths who are likely to come into my Seniors. 1 Fielding pop a season in the Youths should get them to Rea/Cap by the time they enter the Seniors for me.

When a player reaches 20 they are automatically transferred into your senior team right?

Yes

Cicjose

i asked that because i have a fair number of 19 year olds so im thinking of saving cash so i can keep my youth academy at a workable level so i can get some youth pulls

(9 of my 17 youths are 19 atm)

Fletch74

well that will leave you with 8 Youth's at EOS, and FTP will automatically give you some 8k Youth spuds to fill your side up to 12 at the EOS because that's the minimum that you must have.

So it looks like you will need to start buying some otherwise you will have to play some of those spuds in the first few rounds next season.

roo boys!

In trouble there Cic, you need to have 12 left at EOS when they promote otherwise you will get crappy fill-in players.

Nkandu up to 110k with 15 hours to go :)

I think I will go for Vincent.

CrowsFan

So cic how many of them are actually good enough for the senior team?
Also that will leave you with 8 players in the youth team. This means at the end of the season you will randomly get 4 very poor players added to your team to make sure you have at least 12

Justin Bieber

They'll move onto Seniors automaticcaly liek Fletch said. If you fall below the minimum amount of Youth players, you'll get $400 waged players to fill in which are horrible.

I'd say be on the look out on the market for current 16/17 y.o's who could make your first Youth XI. And be on the lookout early next season for the same.

EDIT: The other guys beat me to it :P.

roo boys!

I won, then CF, HP across the line last ;D
