Hooper is moving back to QLD to start his family. He wasn't picked up by the Gold Coast and Brisbane won't take him back, they got rid of him for discipline reasons in the first place.

As for Peterson, like I said above, he tried for 2 years each at 2 clubs. Each time he has moved back the NT. He can't handle professional sport and being away from home.

such a pity..
both have such good talent.. If I could play AFL I would.. but im as skinny as a stick..

Skipper: Very unlucky. Had a good season as a backup ruckman and didn't do much wrong. Probably just not quite tall enough to mantain a spot as solid backup ruckman.

Peterson/Hooper: Both have a lot of potential. Peterson showed a lot, excellent leap and mark. Both don't have the professionalism for AFL football which is disappointing

Stokes/Taylor: Both hacks that can't play

Muston/Dowler: Both had potential but never consistently performed

all the rest: would not come close to finding a spot in best 22

Surprised me the Skipper delisting as as said very good backup in 2010

To tell you the truth none of those delisteings suprised it was either skipper or grimley or lowden and they chose the oldest......i see dowler off to freo, demons or essendon,The eagles should go after muston and garry moss was a small suprise for me so he mite go back home and play for a wa club..i have heard a whisper that we have 4 nsw scholarship players who will be elevated to the list and there all gona be guns apparently..but a probelm i have we have lost stokes, hooper, moss,m.willaims and peterson in the last 12 months this tells me luke breust should b elevated to the senior list and we may see lisle play nxt yr amd we will probaly go after a small fwd with a first or 2nd pik in the draft

Stokes wasn't much of a loss, but Moss had some talent. Breust is a future star and should be elevated. I still can't see Lisle playing as good as he is. With Hale, Buddy and Roughy I can't see another tall KPP in the forward line. We seem to be playing Whitecross as a forward now, so between him, Osbourne, Breust, Savage (Cyril will play midfield full time) we have some stocks in the small forward area but they are weaker. A good quick tackler would be great.

I don't see why it had to be Skipper, Grimley or Lowden. Grimley and Lowden don't even come into the equation at the moment and Skipper was on the rookie list and could have stayed there another year. It isn't like we needed space in the cap or had to delist someone.

Clearly Skipper's body isn't up to it which explains why they went after Hale. Hawthorn's recruitment policy is one of roles. They identified 16 different types of player and recruit to fill a quota in those archetypes. It doesn't make sense for them to recruit Hale and then say "hey, we have too many ruckman". They recruited Hale because they already knew Skipper wasn't going to be there.

Look for the Hawks to make a move on Jed Lamb if he is still available for their 1st pick....

Hawka

Some of the stupidest delistings I've ever seen! JKT was barely even given a chance, and Peterson was starting to come on in leaps and bounds.

Skipper would be spewin as well, not that great of a player but he was used for one season and then discarded.

Peterson basically left, it really wasn't a delisting. The hawks couldn't contact him at one stage.

i don't see a good reason why skipper would be delisted, he played a couple of great games this year

Hawka

yes but the hawks wanted 5 ruckmen on there list  they wernt gona delist renouf or bailey and we got hale in the trades..  lowden and grimley are entering there 3rd and 2nd year respectivly nxt yr with the club so they are still devolping and they were forced to get rid of Peterson due to lack of commitment to the club
