2010 Stats

Average Score: 75.82 (Ranked 199th overall, 43rd amongst forwards)
High: 127 (Round 6)
Low: 42 (Round 17)
Standard Deviation: 23.71
Centuries: 1 out of 11
Starting Price: $449,600
High Price: $449,600 (starting price)
Lowest Price: $350,400 (round 20)

Summary:

Gray hurt a lot of people last year. He was named in Round 1 to play, but ended up being a late withdrawal and a lot of people were left with him in their sides until he came back in Round 4.

Then he became re-injured at the end of Round 8, and was out for the next 9 rounds...

Gray showed plenty of potential in 2009 averaging 85, and whilst only averaging 76 this year, there is plenty of upside to his game.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $402,700 - Unlikely to receive a 10% discount

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $383,400

Position: FWD

Robbie Gray was one of the most talked about players in the pre-season. He has the potential to be a keeper; he is a hard running, X-factor small forward pushing for a permanent midfield position.

Decision:

Gray is definitely on my short list, almost at the point where he is locked in. The only thing holding me back is his body! He has only managed 45 games in 4 years, a lot due to injury.

He definitely has the potential, and with him being listed as a forward who will get more midfield time, it reeks of him being a bargain. I will be watching him very closely in the pre-season.

Will you try your luck with Gray again next year?

Until he gets his body right, it is a no from me, but will watch and if he gets a good preseason that may change

m0nty also has him listed as a FWD/MID, which adds an extra dimension for sure.

Playing around with the fan planner, I've been tempted by Gray. 50-50 for me, and could very well slip in.

I really like the way the guy plays but just that little bit too risky for me.

Had him the past 2 years, but I was not impressed last year. I'm sure he will have a great season soon but I will pass on him next year

Justin Bieber

Burned me this year but love him :-*. Loved watching him past few years when he got a gig at Port. Had a stunning year off half forward in 09 and was great to see him stand up.

Wouldn't mind him playing off half forward again instead of midfield as I know he can really be used up there 8). No more Tredrea could work in his favour :D.

Shortlisted as he is one of my favs.

ridley

he really needs to fill out, still a bit to wirey,

going to pick him, simply because hes just as likely to have a breakout if i dont...

picking him also means you would have to go pretty conservative in the rest of your team as he uses up nearly all of your "risk budget"

Justin Bieber

My entire budget is a risk budget :P.

Might even go Higgins with him :-X. That will be enough risk for me next season :P.
