But hinkley did leave to better himself he wasn't to know about Bomber being burnt out. Sando left also & went to Power n came back

bunyip

Yer, so many, it's hard to keep track. Where's the love, thats what I want to know >:(

McRooster

Frank Costa has verbally slipped announcing '..the new coach will be announced Monday and not before Ken then will I comment further'

Looks like Hinkley has the job or deliberate faux pas?

Brett Burton already at GC will help the fallout from there or will Sanderson now move north? (having not been touted at the Power)

nas

having not been touted at the Power)

Burnt the bridge a bit when he left the power to go back to the cats

Justin Bieber

Wouldn't be suprised if Hinkley comes back.

Would of preferred Sanderson though. Can't blame him for going after a senior position not knowing Bomber was retiring.

bunyip

It really is a roll of the dice isn't it. I think they would all make good coaches. The more I think about it, the more I would like to see some new faces around the club, just to give it a bit of energy.
It's exciting getting a new coach, you feel the club is growing.

The Age also re-reported it from SEN before HS and actually mentioned SEN as the source. That is the HS though, take a story, make up a a speculative "fact" to add to the story and call it an exclusive.

Will Sando hang around?

Scott has done amazing things with Freo's midfield last year and now has landed a plum job. Took many by surprise - perhaps Hinkley pulled out after being offered more coin to stay north  ;)

New team / new kids / new structure maybe all adds up to his staying or maybe they felt it was the same culture to have an outsider as per they did when they hired Bomber all them years ago.

True then Hutchy was on twitter saying they took the story from his tweet which was also hours after the Age & sen hahaha He's one of the worst Journo's...

Cruiseon

Hutchy is a lazy journo, nuff said.

I am personally worried by the appointment of Scott. We at Collingwood don't need clubs like Geelong making sound logical decisions with quality people that will enhance their ability to win flags. We prefer appointments like Ratten & Hird which are doomed to failure.

I guess it is back handed compliment that Geelong, once again has made a tough decision which I think they got right.

Will be an interesting clash between the two brothers. Who would have thought twins coaching against one another....

I agree Cruise. It's a good decision by Geelong. If he is anything like his brother, Geelong won't have too many years down the lower end of the ladder.
