Ok. So what will our list look next year in our attempt to go back-to-back?

Simple stuff first...

Welcome: Andrew Krakouer and Jon Ceglar. Krakouer adds X-Factor, and Ceglar yet more insurance in case Jolly gets injured.

Welcome back: Chris Tarrant. My how the wheel turns...

Goodbye? Farewell Lockyer, Fraser, O'Bree, Medhurst and Rusling. All served the club well.

Maintain the entire Premiership 22.

That makes 25.

Others?

26. Simon Prestigiacomo - Will be on the list if he chooses to play on. Still no word from Presti (and there rarely is)
27. John McCarthy - assuming the assault case doesn't go anywhere, McCarthy being named an emergency for the GF is a good sign he'll stay on.
28. Leon Davis - May find himself in the VFL if he doesn't retire (unlikely), still could be handy
29. Jack Anthony - after all the trade hup-lah is still a Pie, and can still turn it around.
30. Brad Dick - Probably the most exciting prospect outside the 22 right now.
31. Cam Wood - Should be maintained? Need the back up, and is still relatively young.
32. Simon Buckley - will role the dice one more time
33. Josh Thomas - named Collingwood's best first year player
34. Luke Rounds - close to getting a debut, should persevere
35. Jaxson Barham - a make or break year for Jaxson. Think they'll keep him
36. Jarrad Blight - Rumours he wanted out, but no trade
37. Jack Carter - Told looks ok
38. Tim Hunter - Same as Carter
39. Lachlan Keefe - Massive development player
40. Seamus McNamara - Also a project plaer
41. Scott Reed - More rookie for Reed, developing
42. Ben Sinclair - Still has promise

Gone?

Ryan Cook & Tristan Francis haven't kicked on, and the Anthony Corrie should be over.

That makes it 8 players gone, replaced by 3 so far.

Disagree anyway?

Ossie I thought Barham and Blight have already been delisted along with Corrie. Have I jumped the gun because I was surprised by Blight?

My thought is that Jack Anthony is gone. He is too slow on the ground as a forward, I really don't think he offers much as a forward and I've have an inside contact who knows he is not particularly popular amongst the players. I'm disappointed we couldn;t trade him.

I agree we need to keep Cam Wood, he is still better than the second ruckmen at most clubs (ie St.Kilda, Geelong, Bulldogs etc) and Leon has a point to prove. He needs to shake any injuries he may have, lose some weight and be a midfield option once more.

I agree with much of what you say.

8-6 Suited

Jaxson Barham (delisted)
Jarrad Blight (delisted)
Ryan Cook (delisted)
Anthony Corrie (delisted)
Jack Carter (delisted)
Tristan Francis (delisted)

Sean Rusling (retired)
Shane O'Bree (retired)
Paul Medhurst (retired)
Tarkyn Lockyer (retired)

Josh Fraser (Gold Coast)

They are all gone.

Really? Huh! Can't believe I missed that

8-6 Suited

I'm more interested in Cloke potentially going into the Draft. Bit of a stupid move, but if you look at his brothers, you can see its David Clokes  shower management that does it.

He is a great mark but cant kick for shower... Will be interesting to see if he does for sure lol

I agree, imagine what they'd be doing if wasn't for their father interfering like he does!!

Words could not express my rage if Cloke walks out on the Magpies.

Seriously. I'm a huge Cloke fan. Yes, he is attrocious at kicking. But he is a smart footballer, best contested mark in the comp, fast and strong. And still only 23.

If he walks out without giving Collingwood at the very least a decent chance of trading him (and plenty of teams would kill for him), it is a huge betrayal.

Leadership group? Who does he think he should replace? Pendlebury, Swan, O'Brien, Ball, Jolly?

Calm down Ossie, take a deep breath, everything is ok, everything will be fine.

Now what you have to remember that as his agent, David makes a good father. I remember when I was at school during and post his football career that David's Cloke's ocupation was a bottle shop owner/manager on Cothom Road Kew, so I'm not sure if wheeling and dealing are his forte.

This is particularly the case when you think that if Travis was going to secure a big deal from another club, this really would have to be arranged prior to trade week as club's salary caps are unlikely to allow a 4 year $800k a year deal. Also the Pies are not at all worried about Travis, he will sign with the Pies, to be honest if Travis was in Melbourne and not overseas I think he'd be embarassed by what is going on.

Ossie, I hope you didn't waste too much energy as I can confirm that Travis Cloke has signed a new contract and is locked into the Pies for a multi year deal.

So the back to back dream continues, game on.
