Collingwood were obviously going to use the third-round draft pick this year, and pick 45 is higher than that pick. So its a great deal for Collingwood.

I don't understand why West Coast did that though, surely they'd be trying to get in as many picks as possible this year.

West Coast really needs to build now. Why would they trade an earlier pick this year for a future pick ???.

Crazy from my point of view. This draft is full of good young midfielders. They should keep on building that.
