What do we get for Josh?

As an uncontracted player who played 200 games and was a former number 1 draft pick, I strongly suspect Collingwood will get rewarded more than we should for Josh Fraser going to the Suns.

However I have not seen this discussed. Does anyone know? Have the Pies pulled off another coup?

I know it was a complex deal, but I think you got a first round compensation pick, then did some sort of deal with Brisbane and the GC where Brennan and Krakour were swapped around.

I don't know all the ins and outs of it all.

We gave up our Pick 25 for Andrew Krakouer and John Ceglar to the Suns. For Fraser, it was, we received a third round compensation draft pick, which in turn we return to them for Jogn Ceglar.

Something like that anyway.

So regardless of Fraser, what would have been our first pick in the draft?

Usually it would by no 16 but this year is obvioulsy very different. It's icing on the cake that this is a good year to win the flag in respect of draft picks.

I'm still none the wiser about what we got for Josh. It does show that it is somewhat complicated.

??? No conflict with 8-6. Collingwood's first pick was Pick 25, which they gave up for Krakouer. I don't know when your second round pick was.

It was a 3 way trade. Pies and Brisbane gave something to the GC and got picks in return.

But instead of picks, Pies got a player the GC could prelist (Krakouer) and trade. Cegler already being on their list was also traded.

Fraser was traded not signed uncontracted. So no compensation picks were given.

Both clubs agreed to it so Collingwood do get a compensation pick.... which has just been announced.

Which I already called :P New 2 days ago it would be a third round for Fraser. I believe we give that back though for Ceglar.
