Maybe the rumour of Roughy going to the backline has some merit.  You trade in Hale to take over the FF spot (and he can pinch hit in the ruck) and Roughy goes to CHB/FB

hawk_88

He can't play there though. He played most of his first 30 odd games in defence.

Most of the talk I have been hearing is about Buddy moving up the ground. That being said 3 talls might work if we can structure it right. Getting rid of Barker is one step closer to a proper forward structure.

Maca24

roughy nothing special up back. has played most of his life up forward.
leave him there. honestly cant see the point in getting hale.
think lowden, taylor and grimley will get the arse

Hawka

Maca there is no way grimley will get the arse first yr and is stil very raw

Taylor will go and bailey i think he was ment to b bak rnds 12-16 and never came back i reckon he may of been reinjured or had a hiccup even tho i want him to stay on he mite b gone lowden should stay as well and roughy is terrible in defence we dont need him down there

No chance of Grimley and Lowden going. They are both 19! Ruckman often take 5-6 years to develop. Not sure what you are thinking there.

Also, a club only has to delist 3 players (or trade). Croad was official on our list this year and Brown was traded. Strictly speaking we only have to delist one player. If Dowler isn't traded he will most likely get the boot. That is enough. They will probably cull a few more but not 19 year old ruckman who have shown potential.

Bailey was injured round 22 2009. A full knee reco is a 12 month injury. He was back to full training by round 18 (earlier than expected) but still had to reach match fitness. They decided to give him the pre-season to get really fit as they think the reason he injured it last time was they he didn't have enough conditioning.

To cut a long story short, he recovered better than expected and hasn't had any set backs.

Hawka

ok thx for that hawks but taylor has to go

Hawka

and agree with ur comments on grimley and lowden

hawk_88

I like Lowden, think he has some real talent. Saw him play live for the first time at the Box Hill Prelim... we got smashed but he did some nice things for a tall bloke. Had a chat to his Aunt as well... said he was told that he probably wouldn't get to play in senior Box Hill side this year and would only play the development side. He really impressed to the point where he got picked over Taylor for the prelim.

Hawka

yer watched the game on the tv and he looked alrite but stil needs to devolp

hawk_88

Of course, he still couldn't do much at AFL level.

Hawka

The good thing is he edged taylor out of the boxhill side ;D

roo boys!

Hale ;D ;D

Sorry to interupt your talk, but I just love saying it:

Hodge kicks it deep inside 50, Buddy goes up, HALE comes in and knocks Buddy out, Kozi style ;D

IMO, Hale will be used as an extra big man around the ground.

Taylor will go, and I'm sure thet're still worried about Bailey too, with his injuries. Will Skipper go back to the Rookie list?
