Exactly. The AFL wouldn't have given North that pick if the Suns took him.

He was an All Australian defender. Between injury and him being thrown between defence and the forward line so often there is no wonder he didn't find consistent form in the past few years.

Isn't how the formula for compensation worked. Hence the 1st round. Clearly the Suns think he is worth something given his age.

I am surprised by the age in general of the players they recruited.

As for Taz, second round pick surely. Given his age he can't be worth more surely.

Taz's recent form is a LOT better than Brown's. Damien Barrett has said that Hale to the Hawks is a done deal. Paperwork just needs to be done (apparently)

Has nothing to do with recent form. It is their potential added worth to the new club. Taz is 30, Brown is 26. Taz can't be worth super much as he can only play 2 at most 3 more season.

Heard that about Hale as well. Hope we are getting picks as well as Hale if we are giving up that end of round pick.
