Using the fanplanner this team comes in $3,700 under budget.

I like it for a first draft, will be interesting to see how the fanplanner pans out.

Daniel Harris not listed as a back? we can still hope  ;D

Here goes...

BACK- L. Hodge, H. Scotland, B. Deledio, M. Doughty, N. Krakouer, A. Otten, S. McKernan  (X. Clarke, D. Grimes, M. Coad)

MIDS- D. Swan, M. Boyd, K. Cornes, L. Anthony, N. Foley, D. Swallow (D. Harris, A. Krakouer, M. Wright)

RUCK- A. Sandilands, D. Petrie (K. Tippett, Z. Smith)

FWDS- N. Riewoldt, D. Thomas, S. Johnson, M. Pavlich, C. Knights, K. Hardingham, P. Veszpremi (A. Hooper, B. Matera, D. Talia)

It's missing Goddard, but not for long  ;)
No West Coast or Melbourne at this stage (will have to see how they recruit)

What do you think?

Master Q

McBeautiful.

Only thing I'd think about is the Forward line, not too sure about Veszpremi and Hardingham.

McRooster

Veszpremi to the Dogs announced today has me thinking in the absence of Johnson, Everitt and Gia more mid-field as he takes over the captaincy might open up the fwd line opportunities for the former Swan.

Hardingham was tried persistently up-fwd for the Bombers and if his pre-season is spent goal kicking, I've seen enough to slot him in  ;)

Likes:
Backs: Hodge, Otten and Deledio
Mids: Swan is a must have and you can't go wrong with the rest
Rucks: Petrie, Smith and Sandi good combo
Fwds: Knights, Daisy and Roo are good picks

Dislikes:
Backs: 2 Crows starting, depending on when their byes are could be risky. Krakouer; not sure how he will go on the coast. This is not a dislike but more a query; is McKernan a rookie?
Mids: No use of MPP to Backs or Fwds.
Rucks: Don't see much point of Tippett in the ruck, especially on the bench WITH Petrie starting as it defeats the purpose of MPP
Fwds: 2 Rookie Bulldogs, I would take one or the other. Not sold on Hardingham. Stevie J may be a flop if Geelong aren't as strong next year.

McRooster

Thanks benjy.

With Neil Craig set on using James Sellar so much late in the season 2010 as he tried to re-tweak game plan I see McKernan getting that role as Sellar looks to be trade bait and Griffen gone.

Krakouer only played badly at Power because he wasn't in it mentally - I saw his last game for the magoos at Port Magpies after he announced his intention to move to GC and he ripped it!!

Didn't have a MPP mid last year, this year I will but hoping to upgrade a benchie to a MPP target (Harris may yet be a MPP)

Tippett is there for now as I too am not sold completely on Hardingham/Veszpremi and that is where Tippett will go for one of them and the dollars saved on a 4th rookie ruck.

MTTY

I would be careful with McKernan, as James Craig is meant to be a huge prospect ruck and is apparently favoured to be number one ruckmen next year with possibly Sam Jacobs

That will mean 3 starting crows up back :\

Yeah I know benjy, but I'm punting on Harris being named MPP then I'll switch him with Doughty into the mids, that way Swallow, Foley and co. have an upper echelon player to come in for them when the bye or form dictates.

Master Q

Krak now at the Pies, that's 2 Pies in the Midfield. Not saying you need to get rid of him, just saying.

McRooster

Krakoeur is purely for the money gained toward a premium, and who knows - Sandover medallists only come along once a year  ;)

rooster :)

backs: all good but i am not sure that doughty will improve enough to warrant a spot in your team and i know nothing about mckernan. everything else is good. :)

mids: swan is a lock and boyd is very solid, kornes is a good unique, anthony is a lock, foley is another good smei unique and swallow will be a jet from all reports.

rucks: very standard every will have it :)

forwards good good but i think johnson is in consistent. also i think i will jump on both everitt and veszempri therfore changin most of my team :)

great work roo macc 9/10

You reckon D Talia will get a guernsey this year?  He had big wraps when he was drafted a couple years back but havent heard much since.  Didnt he spend a year finishing year 12.

I was thinking about him for 2011 DT.

Talia is a KPP so will take some more time to develop. Should be in the running for gametime next season with the host of retirings. Some guys will move up the field 8).

Tippett on the Ruck bench is sure pricey!!! Probably do what you said and move him up forward.

Hardingham is a hell of a mark but his kick is sure frustrating!! Could be good if he works on his kicking along with Gumby this pre season :P.

Talia has been on the list a couple of years now but spent the first year completing year 12 and then has had some injury concerns.

In DT, who cares if he cant kick properly... as long as he gets boot to ball = 3 points :)
