16 is an awkward number. Maybe if we play all the way to placings (like 3d last etc.) then whoever is last is knocked out for the next comp?

How is 16 awkard? 8 games, then 4, then 2. If you want to make it knock-out it can only be 8, 16, 24, 32 etc...
