Very disappointing, but don't let the actions of a few define your opinion of the group. Relative to the general population, professional footballers are amongst the best behaved. It is just the very actions are plastered on the front pages of every paper, creating a negative perception of AFL players as a group.

I do agree with you that sometimes professional sports people are unfairly put under the microscope. But it does seem to be a recurring problem within all football codes.

I said that because i just cant understand the only a day after winning the greatest prize in your sport you can put yourself in a position like this. Surely these guys have got to learn that this is something that comes with being a top sports player. They have to make better decisions and not put themselves in these positions.

I hope that the this story turns out to be untrue but it does put a little bit of a sour note on the whole premiership.

Some people are d**kheads. It doesn't matter what they do. It is a recurring problem with society and football players are a part of society. I can't understand why anyone would ever be in this position (assuming it is true), player or not, just won a grand final or not.

No sympathy for those players who do wrong, it is the effect that these actions being put under the microscope have on perception of the large majority of players who've done nothing wrong.
