We drafted the only Premiership player available, every rookie should look to Blair and see that anything is possible with the right club.

I doubt a rookie would every play in a Grand Final at St.Kilda where they hold back the younsters (and recruit players like Gamble & Polo). Geelong & probably the Bulldogs aren't known for throwing young guys into the deep end. Freo have changed their approach much to their benefit.

Though I agree with the Saints and the young-guns...

The Dogs did play Hooper in his first match in a final (though they probably should've played him earlier)... And the Cats blooded Joel Selwood and Harry Taylor pretty well as first years!

Pies Rookie success is second to none though :)

Selwood is an incredible exception. I wonder if there has ever been a better first year player, especially when you consider he also snagged a flag.

Collingwood had a reputation for starting players in finals in the 60's and 70's. Don't remember how it worked for them though.

That is is RB.

Luke Ball looks likely to put his hand up for a leadership role. I have no problems with that.

From memory last year was Maxwell, Pendles, Swan, O'Brien, Jolly, Shaw and O'Bree?

In: Ball, Out: O'Bree?

Or has Dids or Benny J proved themselves for a shot? Or should Cloke be appeased? Maybe even Daisy

But Ball would be the natural choice IMO. He has captained a club before

bunyip

The hell with it, stick them all in :)

Good point Bunyip, good point.

We'll make Swan and Pendles co-captains, so they don't abandon us :(

Cruiseon

No chance, Pendles is a lock. Might even get his older brother on the rookie list this year.
