in a thread about it they said they will announce the coach on friday..

and now hird is going to be coach BEFORE friday

I'm changing my team supported to Unlisted... I reckon it sucks because he is untried!! :'( But I'll jump back on the bandwagon of course if they start to win ;)

We get rid of one dud coach for a champion of the club who has never coached... STUPID. Yes it will make the majority of fans happy because they wanted him to coach all along but... What happens if he turns out to be a shower coach eg, Watson, Voss etc... especially after the fans all called for him to coach. No one to blame this time if it goes wrong... Could be very messy.

ahh he's only ever coached like under 10's... HOW THE flower WOULD HE KNOW HE"S READY TO COACH AT AFL LEVEL?! sorry ur gonna have to just ignore me for a while...

I agree win theory. I would rather him turn out like Brad Scott with a few years as assistant than being rushed in and turns out like Voss.

Would of much prefered Richardson or Williams instead. Hird could of been an assistant for a few years and do what Buckley or Longmire did. There goes next year ::).
