Pre-Season Cup Teams Rd 1

Use this thread to list your teams for the first round of the Pre-season Cup, once all Trades are finallised.

As mentioned earlier all teams must be in the formations of

3-4-3, 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 4-3-3, 5-4-1, 5-3-2, or 5-2-3 only, plus you must nominate a Captain and Vice Captain.

Subs must be ranked in order of prefence to come on the field as well.

Alright I will be the first brave soul to name my starting XI for the cup. I am going for a standard 4-4-2 set up as it seems to suit me best this week.

The captains armband will be handed to Steven Gerrard this week, whilst my vice captain will be Gabby Agbonlahor. The bench is in order of preference, except for of course Gilks, who will come on if Reina doesn't play.

Bench: Jääskeläinen, Davies, Al Muhammadi, Cahill

Captaincy will go to Berbatov who is in fine form. The Vice will go to Arshavin.

Queries still in for Vermalean so Davies is still good cover if needed. It was a toss up between him and Henderson for last spot in the line up. Henderson might do well hopefully :P.

I am going the 3 - 4 - 3 with my bench looking like this in this order:

Normally it will be 4 - 4 - 2 with Gyan on the bench but seeing how Lescott is injured, I feel this would be a better structure. Lescott may be traded soon if I find news on the length of his injury. If I trade, that will be the only one unless it is an amazing, Too-Good-To-Refuse offer!

Transfer season is over until January. Don't need to worry about that just yet.

You can change your starting XI until the deadline crosses. But we'll make it for the real season, once you enter a team, you're stuck with that team for that round.
