yeh ashes tour shud be good
usually i do fantasy cricket or fantasy epl
but its just not the same
Doing fantasy A League, EPL and other games to keep me occupied :P.

Walker is certainly on my radar. Should get given a go now that they have a host of retiree's. Might mean some players move up the field opening another space for a tall CHF/Flanker to fill in. He would be great as a Flanker but could also be nice for CHF. He's a unique which draws me to him 8).

browny_wce

hes unique coz he doesnt score that well
thats why i feel sorry for those people going for Tippet again

Justin Bieber

MPP with Tip gives some incentive. Is a KPP so takes some time to be able to find consistency like Roo (or even 50% like him :P).

Walker is a KPP but is much more agile making him more likely to be able to score more consistently while not too consistent :(. But could make a good profit of up to 100k which is more than enough for me if he scores half decent with a few tons in between.

browny_wce

yeh true, and i do fancy TW of Tippet but yeh doesnt quite tip me

Made a new team after the draft. Think it's any good?

Backs: James Kelly, Sam Gilbert, Corey Enright, Brett Deledio, Greg Broughton, Andy Otten, Matthew Watson (Jake Batchelor, Tendai Mzungu, Paul Puopolo).
Mids: Matthew Boyd, Leigh Montagna, Matthew Pavlich, David Swallow, Andrew Gaff, Dyson Heppell (Shaun Atley, Mitch Hallahan, Myles Sewell).
Rucks: Patrick Ryder, Drew Petrie (Max Bailey, Zac Smith).
Forwards: Alan Didak, Brad Green, Nick Riewoldt, Jonathan Brown, Ryan O'Keefe, Chris Knights, Jed Lamb (John Butcher, Jack Darling, Andrew Hooper).

This is the first time I've touched fanplanner in a while and think It makes an alright team. Kelly and Enright down back is a risk but have MPP with mids so more like 1 there. Wanted a few other players but can't fit them in at this stage.

Also added a poll for no reason :P.

Boomz

Not bad... Who have u got in the mids thats MPP M/B though? Heppell could be but I wouldn't bet on it... Can't wait to find out the MPP's etc lol I like that u have Puopolo he should get a fair few games as he is a ready made replacement for brown... Maybe slightly too many premiums up forward as there are some pretty good medium pricers. No goddard? Could probably try & fit him in for one of Enright or Kellly?

Justin Bieber

I doubt Heppell will be MPP but can always hope :P. No Goddard indeed ;). Have Gilbert and Goddard is more of an upgrade target at his price right now. Can easily jump on when the cash cows rise. Although, I could fit him in with the spare cash available...... (I think 180k or thereabouts).

Forward line is really packed. Want to fit Higgins or Gray in somewhere and more likely than not, Brown will get the chop. I want to fit some more midpricers in but tried stocking up the backs and forwards and seeing how the rest of the ground shows.

First team was full of smokies, This team more of a Premium/Rookie combos. Just trying out the different Combo's since I have too much spare time now ;D.

THIS IS MY UPDATED TEAM BELOW:

Mids: Matthew Boyd, Leigh Montagna, Matthew Pavlich, David Swallow, Andrew Gaff, Dyson Heppell (Shaun Atley, Mitch Hallahan, Myles Sewell).

Everytime I update my team, I'll post the new team here so I can see how it evolves.

HP, goin on your updated team from 19 Nov 2010 - am really interested in you intentionally leaving out Goddard, Swan, Hodge - is an interesting strategy as assuming they'll be your initial upgrade targets.

you've also got some bench rooks not mentioned much (Batchelor, Puopolo, Bailey, Butcher) - very interesting.
Looks very solid

browny_wce

heppell has been listed as a back (in the draft system) so could maybe get a run as a mpp

Thanks j959. I don't like spending a whole lot at the start of the year. Rather build a solid building blocks and try to preserve trades for injuries. If I get those 3, I would surely have to get more rookies = More trades down the line. Although, If I get one of those in, Goddard is the most likely.

Rookies are a bit unknown right now. Need to see how they shape up pre season and if their coach will give them a try. Like keeping my eye on some smokies. Last year it was Nason pre draft.

That's why he's in my team ;). Need to have some bombers players :D. Although it is all speculation at this stage :(.

the dud

Get Goddard. He’ll be seething from the grand final losses and will be second to Swan in Total Pts in 2011 imo.
I have him in the centre. Lets me have gilbert in the back who I think will score quite well and if I have a few C/B cheapies in the backline (like houli, Clarke) come round 15 (after saints 2nd bye in rnd 14), ill switch goddard to back and hopefully be able to get montagna/ hayes/nds in centre with an upgrade.

yeah, I think i might try that sort of strategy this year, esp for DT.
know what you mean about the speculation, I keep changing my fanplnner teams 5 times a day at this stage.

Nice plan. Might chuck Goddard in somewhere eventually as no doubt, he's a gun 8). Joey is probably the best for DT (Nicky Dal usually good for SC with his kick). Hayes good at either :P. Either way, sounds like a good plan and hopefully they fall in price around that time.

5 times a day :o :o. How do you keep up with all the players? ;D.
