I need to stock up defence as I like playing 5 down back :). Worked well early in the season and showed last game ;). I kept 5 Mil this time and had about 3.7 Mil before I Sold/Bought players. But with Messi coming in, being in the top 2 players in the game, the wage would just be :o :o :o compared to anybody else. Will likely go with 7 like you said :).

I hate playing 5 down the back. It just seems so defensive in my mind, yet you manage to pull it off well!
Yeah Messi has a wage over 100k by himself!!
The other good thing about keeping a fair bit of money is you could then bring in a player on short notice if required :)

Yep. Ozil and Busq would of pulled the 5 down back well with 3 midfielders (with one a DM and these 2 the front guys). Only if he had stayed fit for longer :'(. At least Busq, Martinez and Kewell carried the load well :). But I play on aggressive or Attacking so it helps when we counter attack or play to our strengths.

Coming into the thrid season, all season have been fairly close for top spot and the middle tables. Can't wait to see what happens when we all can get GUN teams 8).

Yeah one problem I have noticed though is all the teams where we buy our players such as United, Arsenal etc because they are cheaper have had all their loan players recalled so they all have squads with over 40 players in them. Which I think stops them from buying the players back so we can't get the money and continue to improve...

I didn't know about that ???. I thought the loans only applied for active teams in the league?

Just means we have to hope other teams bid ;D. It's happened before but takes a little longer if they can't go to their original team.

Hilly is trying to sell Vela but only arsenal are bidding for him so he accepts, but then says the transfer gets canceled

Maybe it's his own team ;). Loan players don't count as his players so he may fall under the limit ;). Think that was what I saw when I checked his team a while back.... I was offering to give him 2 players in exchange for 1 to help out since he was already in debt. Not sure though as haven't checked it for a while (his team).

Ah yes you are probably right then I had never thought of that since you need at least 21 players and he had 24. But 3 of them are on loan so if he sold someone he would go below that! You sir are a genius and I look forward to playing you in the charity shield match at the start of the next season :)

Haha, thanks ;D. Should make for a cracking match since we are both the Champions of the League first 2 seasons ;).

Mine end mid Feb (17th for the Big ones), so should see dividends come end of Feb at least.

I don't get to sell my first big name (Khedira) till the 20th of Feb. Hoping for 20 mil for him, but prob wont get that much! Berba then on the 6th of March.
Unlike you I kept buying throughout the season so I have a constant stream of people coming in and out. Could be why I didn't perform all that well this season...

I bought some during the season also but most of the money went out for the Big 2 ;). Both should sell for 30 Mil each at a minimum (hoping 65-70 Mil combined). Remind me I need to pay that favor back to you ;).

Maybe the Cup run hurt your league chances early? Then they never could recover :P. Next season will be going for League once again rather than Cup.

Yeah the cup run ruined me I think cos before that started I was coming second (I think) behind you then decided to focus on the cup since you got more money.
I think it is better focusing on the league since it is more prestigious. And who knows, most of my b teamers are in the 80's so could still go far in the cup :)

In my senior squad of 22 players the only player with a rating below 80 is my reserve keeper and he is 70. And only 2 players with a rating of 80.
Pretty solid squad I think :)
