I was thinking of getting Dudek but instead went for Turnbull. A little more pricey but younger.

If you are a GOLD member, you get can accept jobs for countries. Even if you are not you'll get offered. But can't accept unless you become a gold member.

Boomz

I made a bid on a keeper... Won't come through for this week game though...

Hawka

Made a bid for a south amrican playmaker but fury will prbaly get smahshed this week

Master Q

You guys should be looking at national youth squads, get players from there...

Justin Bieber

You can't :P.

Just search players under 21 if you are looking for youths ;).

chrisuzz

thats what i usually do, i think i might be signing the youngest player in the league a 16 y.o.

Well seeing as I was up all night, Found out results came in between 5am and 6am :P. Some shocking results came out of round 1 :o.

I'll post the results here and table in the next post.

Sydney FC 1  -  0  Gold Coast United
North Queensland Fury 1  -  0  Adelaide United
Wellington Phoenix 3  -  1  Melbourne Victory
Melbourne Heart 0  -  1  Brisbane Roar
Newcastle Jets 1  -  4  Perth Glory

The first match was decided 2 minutes in with a Jamieson goal. BP's side did well to hang onto the lead. Strong signs from both teams. Keller from Sydney was named man of the match but could of been a range of players. This match drew the biggest crowd of the round with over 12,000 people showing up 8).

After a low off season by Fury, they kicked off the season with a win thanks to a Talay goal. He was deservingly man of the match. An injury to Adelaide's star player Baraja didn't help. Neither did a Red Card to Van Dijk 21 minutes in. Adelaide dominated most of the match but couldn't make it count.

Touted as a pre season favourite, the Victory stumbled at the first hurdle. A Jassim double put them away. A solid match up between the sides. The big signings of Victory couldn't gel together enough for a win on such short notice. But wouldn't expect them to stay down for long.

Shock of the round goes to Roar over the Heart. CC's Heart was probably the most star studded line up in this small league. But just like the Heart, didn't get off to a good start. A late Jeffren goal put them away. A Tommy Oar injury to the Heart will see him out for over a month. A big let down but still a long way to go until the end of the season. Wouldn't be suprised if they hit back hard next week in the showdown.

To go top of the Ladder, Perth absolutely smashed the Jets. Although Alex's Jets fought bravely, they were no match for Diarra and the Glory. Diarra of course is the best rated player in the league. Bad news is he will be out for over a month with a pulled groin. BOOMZ will not be happy for such an injury early on. Pellegrino is also injured but for only 2 weeks. Glory held on possession for 65% of the time. No suprise they converted the majority of their shots. An own goal didn't help the Jets cause either. Jelic gets man of the match although that could be disputed.
