Yes. Jurrah the next Franklin? Watts, Bate, Green, Petterd... a lot to like.

For Bailey to keep his job, think the Dees need to win 11 matches.
Developing a pretty strong, young forwardline.
yeah  :)
sylvia for a breakout this year?

They are showing some promising signs and i think the Demons will bounce back into the finals race after an absence

MTK

I don't think the Demons will be a GENUINE contender until they get a decent coach. Bailey just ain't up to it I'm afraid....

MTTY

And why exactly isn't Bailey up to it ?

MTTY

Why he is a great coach wouldn't want anybody else

11th or 10th right behind eesendon... ;)
That is where I am thinking, 10th or 11th. Don't think they are quite good enough for certain top 8 chances yet.

Bluke

I think the loses of Miller, McDonald and Bruce has hurt this team. They've lost depth, experience and the big bodies needed to match it with the big teams.

They will finish around the same position they did last year, next year they will show more improvement though.

Bottom 9 for me around 12th - 14th.

phatmaniac

i reckon we will finish 9th or 10th
sad to say.. but i did the ladder predictor today and i cant see us making the 8

What is up with the Demons? At times, they look like they can beat anybody, at other times they look disinterested.

Last year, we were debating who was better - The Demons, the Tigers or the Kangaroos.

This year, it seems like the Tigers are getting their act together, while the Roos do not seem to have improved. The jury is still out on the Demons. They simply have to show some CONSISTENCY and really need to beat the kangaroos, beating them convincingly would be good too.

So the Demons have had a draw with Sydney (good), a loss to Hawthorn (disaster), a win against the Lions (unconvincing), a win against the Suns (par), a loss to Eagles (disaster), and a win against the Crows (very impressive).

Noting they have yet to play Pies, Cats, Bombers, Blues, Dogs, Saints or Dockers.....

And that was with Grimes injured early.... anyone know his status by the way?

Should be 2011's biggest improver. All Australian representation (Frawley and Jamar) and some very good recruiting will see them climb the ladder surely.
Scully, Trengove, Gysberts, Mackenzie = potential, potential, potential, potential or will the demons of their lack lustre past come back to haunt them?
Does Dean Bailey have the skills to make these boys into men?
These prophetic predictions resonate with me solemnly  >:(

Bailey to Crows, Craig to Demons, Scully to GWS, Mitch to Demons, Wonna a Gonna - anyone think they've at least broken even post season?

Where will Jurrah play with Mitch in the midst, maybe as a high forward ala Franklin....

And things aren't always Greener after a season of Captaincy, I think bottom ten is the only category at best.

ajjewell

I think they will miss the 8 but not by much, gaining Clark and not having the distraction of Scully and Bailey should see them improve on this seasons effort
