Such good predictions that I'm suspcious. Was there any mention of Pods going down or Stevie J making a lazaraus comeback? Amazing.

Wise words indeed. So what is going to happen next year Cortez? Maybe let's start with who will coach the Saints?

8-6 Suited

I heard Kim Duthie is the front runner, as she has already proven that she can get the St Kilda boys up and going.

bunyip

A good choice 8, but she may come up short tactically. ;D

Master Q

She's good at getting watch she wants from her boys  ;)

Not sure if you can blame her coaching style for the players 'shortcomings'. :P

bunyip

true, they have drugs for everything these days.

Poll reset.

Here puss, puss, puss. Here puss, puss, puss.

What am I saying, the Cats know where it's at. They are a cattery of pure feline class, can they get better with age?
Watchout for the Tomahawk this season, chop, chop!

Chris Scott though has only one way to go....up......or down?

bunyip

It doesn't look like the cats are going away for a while yet. Scarlo said we can go back to back, but that was before he knew Otto was leaving. Still, one player does not make a team.
Back to back premierships are incredibly hard, but, that's about all this team has not achieved. They will give it a red hot go.

Chris Scott will be driving you and now doubt drawing on his experience with Brisbane with their premiership run.  Lot to like about Geelong even with your retirements as youngsters look good. Just not sure who will take on Lings role though.

bunyip

We don't have anyone at the moment who fits into Lingy's role as a "hard" tagger. Maybe they just won't worry about it.

Cicjose

wouldnt Christensen fit the mould of tagger?

bunyip

I wouldn't ask him to do it. If they decided they needed a bonafied tagger I'd be looking at someone like Wojo or Josh Hunt, maybe even Joel Corey. Personally, I don't like them. I prefer to see a shoot out between 2 great players. Joel Corey was on Pendles a fair bit in the GF. Pendles won, but it was good to watch.

Why would you want to ruin him like that? Compare his games to those of a Gary Ablett Jnr at the same age and you will notice they have very similar output and attributes.

Wojo could tag someone pretty well. He's strong, not the most skilled bloke around, has pace so he could run with someone all day and they'll never get away from him.

What about one of the youngsters being moulded into a tagger? Guthrie or someone like him....

Purple 77

i love this team (2nd favourite), a team full of professionals, you definitely cant rule them out for the flag again.

The only real guy thats left the cats that will hurt, was ling.

Geelong even have so many young promising stars along with their outstanding veterans, such as:
Joel Selwood
Tom Hawkins
Daniel Menzel
Allen Christensen
Mitch Duncan
Nathan Vardy
Trent West
Cameron Guthrie
Tom Gillies
Andrew Mackie

VERY VERY impressive team. Since I'm a *cough* melbourne *cough* supporter, i have come to like watching a successful team in Geelong and i support them very heavily along with my demons.

I could see this team in the eight, hell, even the four for many years to come!
