Bébé is set to play his first game for united since moving there over the summer. Granted it is only in the reserves, but will be very interesting to see how he goes. Since moving to united he has made 2 appearances for the Portugal u21 side and reports have been mixed.

For those who have got no idea who I am talking about that's not so surprising. Here is a little info on Bébé. He is a 20 year old forward from Portugal. At the start of the year he was playing in the Portuguese third division, but during the summer transfer period he signed on with the first division club Guimaraes on a free transfer. After only being there for 5 weeks, where he scored 5 goals in 4 friendlies Man Utd came in and payed £7.5 million for him, without Sir Alex even seeing him play.

He was an orphan and has represented Portugal at the homeless world cup and the fifa street world championship. He is a complete nobody who United have taken a massive risk on, so I will be watching his future quite carefully. For those who know who I am talking about, what do you think of him?

great story and i hope he gets a good run,  could be a good prospect in a few years

Wow that is a very good story, PR's dream.
If he did well I could see him being a real sign of hope for under privileged kids.
Will be interesting to hear how he goes ;)

Agree, it is a great story. Nice signing fee for Guimaraes.

Keep us informed of his progress CF.

From the reports I read Bébé had a pretty good game, even though they lost. He was playing on the right side of a front three and was swapping sides with Obertan who was on the left. He was constantly swarmed by the villa defenders but was still very impressive.

A good start for the homeless man, lets hope it continues

Man u must see something big in him
Well SAF had never seen him play before signing him. The first time he has done that in his career as a manager. He just went on the word of his scout in Portugal and the recommendation from Carlos Queiroz. Apparently the other big clubs such as Real Madrid and Chelsea were interested so SAF signed him before others could

Alex7089

I would rather play for Chelsea, but I barrack for them :P
SAF, must say  I don't care for him, but he is good, he is real good.

But alex what players have chelsea trained up to be good players for them except for maybe mikel? United have a history of developing players and improving them

Mikel signed for Man Utd before vetoing it to go to Chelsea.

Chelsea have 0 players from the academy currently in their first 11.

CrowsFan

Yeah that mikel thing was the most retarded transfer. Announces that he will be going to united, a week later says he was pressured in to signing for them and wants to move to chelsea. After a huge investigation goes to chelsea, whilst chelsea had to pay his club £4million and pay united £12million for a player they never had. Good business for united  ;D

That is pathetic.
Suppose it is what you get when the bloke that owns Chelsea is a billionaire 11 times over, Roman Abramovich!

CrowsFan

Well at least they have some english blokes in their team. I remember a few seasons ago there was a match between chelsea and arsenal and there wasn't a single english player on the pitch or bench!!!
