The sides are in, no change for the Prelim but notably Presti is not even named as an emergency. I would think that after 5 weeks out, IF and it is a big if, we win he would be very unlikely to come straight back into a GF.

Have we seen the last of a true icon????   :'( :'( :'(

DazBurg

bit rough on him is you do win an he isn't selected for the GF like what happened to Max Hudghton last year

unfortunately as a full back myself it might :( was a role model for me

bunyip

You can see why players are so worried about getting injured in the last month of the season. :(

If Nathan Brown plays well, and chances are if Collingwood win that'll be the case, then unfortunately Presti looks gone :(

Could be so much heartbreak this year with Presti, Fraser, Lockyer and O'Bree. Let's hope that's the case!

If, and a big IF, you guys won the premiership, and Presti was not in the GF, I would hate the Pies that little bit more.
He has been your warrior for years to deny him the chance to go out in style...

SCADDICT

Wtf happened? Presti was great last year, hadn't watched him closely this year. Can't say it is depth keeping him out either because he's easily better then some of the kids in the team.

Hawka

He can go to hawks for a yr or 2 if he wants  ;D

bunyip

Presti, Lockyer, Medhurst, even Leon. Have they reached their use by?

Alex7089

No doubt bunyip those players would e lucky to play for Collingwood or the AFL next year.
But c'mon, Presti deserves 1 last shot at premiership glory!

Tarks is one who I'd really love to see in the black and white next week. I still remember when he was a nervous fumbly kid. A real Collingwood champion.

Lockyer and Presti deserve to play the GF after serving the club for so long. Doubt Lockyer will get in after being left out of the squad for most of the year. Would be stiff on Presti though as he can keep his opponent well held.

As much as I love Lockyer and Presti, the younsters currently in the team (currently Blair and Brown) are equally deserving.

Lockyer and Presti had chances in 2002 and 2003, so yes, they do deserve this year also - but no more than the youngsters

As Mark Twain once said "reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated".

If you do the job Presti, the Cup will be coming home!

It was tough watching him looking on yesterday but after 6 weeks out he would not have had the match fitness required to play top footy, especially against Roo.

Look at Baker - he was horribly exposed yesterday.

Brown did a fantastic job (again) and at 21 (?) is the future key backman of the club.
