2010 Stats:
Games: 11
Total Score: 953 (Ranked 294th overall, 95th amongst defenders)
Average Score: 86.64 (Ranked 104th overall, 28th amongst defenders)
High: 130 (Round 19)
Low: 34 (Round 16)
Standard Deviation: 28.84
Centuries: 3 out of 11
Starting Price: $420,500
High Price: $459,700 (Round 21)
Lowest Price: $383,800 (Round 18)

Summary:
Symes missed the first half of the season through injury, but managed to play the last 11 games of the season. Showing his scoring potential in the process with all 3 of his centuries above 120.  But showed against some of the stronger teams he finds it harder to score with a 34 against Geelong, and 57 against St Kilda.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last years magic number

Price: $460,145
Position: DEF
Higher price than he was all year.

Decision:
At that price he could be a very good option, as he has got a lot of scoring potential, but seems a little inconsistent. With all of Adelaide's retirees Symes could spend some time running through the middle, or replacing McLeod running off half back. For me he is on my shortlist, but it will come down to whether he has an injury free pre season, or if I decide to take Andy Otten. What are your thoughts?

otten is a lock for me, meaning no symes. could be unique and could av 90+ roaming around on a wing

Boomz

I'll wait & see how he goes pre-season...

+2 maybe if he does really well could be an upgrade option, but no at the start

Why does gold coast have to come in this year when there are so many good value players who play on the same line as superstars from the same year :( ::)

Symes? Hmmm, have always thought about him. Unlikely though

Barlow 21

Could prove a bargain seeing many of adelaides veterans have retired.

Justin Bieber

He seems close to locked in for me. But isn't set in stone. Also have Otten planned there :).

Depends on if he plays a similar role to this year or if given more midfield time.

I dont think he is going to improve much this season, will be in/out the side all year

I agree he seems like the sort of player that could get dropped.

But saying this maybe hes the 2011 Douglas

TOM15

you never know, i just dont see him getting midfield time, douglas always got time in midfield

late 2009 Douglas was out of the team.
2010 Symes was always in when fit

But Symes always butchers the ball whereas Douglas always had a bit of class with disposal
