Where will GC Suns finish in 2012?

i think with the players they poached they will get close to top 8 but not quite make it and finish around 10th-11th, getting better in subsequent years and pushing for a flag by 2015

You would think they will have a big fade towards the end of the season, the same way all other 1st year rookies do normally.

We really dont know how good the team is until we see them in action.

I've actually got a $10 bet on them to be the highest placed non-Vic, I figure if they some how make the four there won't be any non-Vic above them so $31 return is better than $26.
I don't actually think they'll get up but it will be a little more fun watching them try  ;)

I like your seach for some decent odds Roost, it would seem your expectations for your own side are not particularly high. I don't quite share your pessimism, I suspect you are unlikely to collect in this bet.

Does make you think though, the collective non Vic teams have probably never been less competitive to even consider such a bet. And that is with Freo finally showing some signs. I guesss everything is cyclical.

i think GC will struggle as will Gary Ablett. Only reason he did so well at the Cats was they had the awesome midfield which kept lots of attention of him. Midfield at the suns doesnt have the same abilities as that of Geelong and he will struggle to find his feet in the Suns colours

yeah your pretty much spot on their MTTY. I am Suns fan but bleak first up season i reckon is on the horizon
