Summary
Well Lids is an awesome player with a booming kick which makes the Tigers go through him a lot.
The only thing that worries me is he is more suited to SC than he is to DT. But certainly worth a look especially if he is MPP next year.
Verdict
For me it is a no just don't think he gets enough of the footy to be a huge scorer for DT. Much better SC player because he uses it so well.
But, the real question is, will you pick him next year?

The Newmans and Stantons of the worlds are not really leaders. There is a layer at almost every player like this. Downhill skiers often mistaken as 'Barometers' or 'Gee, when he is up and about his whole team is 'eh?'
When really it is 'Gee he only seems to touch leather when his team is on top 'eh?

I don't know whether the captaincy affects it but if it does could be a master stroke from the Tigers!
