Summary:

They have talked up Leuenberger big time ever sine they used pick 4 in the 2006 draft to take him they said he would be a gun it would just  take a few years. Well after having some injuries in the past few years he got his body right in 2010 playing all 22 games and showing glimpses of what has been talked up for years.his average doesn't quite show how well he handled the year especially with the emergence of mitch clark last year but to his credit he was able to be pretty consistent

The Crystal Ball:
Based on last year's magic number

Price: $363,537
Position: RUCK

Next year

Decision:

He finally got a full year out of his body and proved it could hold up against the giants of the competition
turning 23 next year there should be more improvement and having a full preseason should see his fitness improve so his scores should benefit. Personally there's something about what he one in 2010 that makes me feel like his on the cusp of getting it together big time and could prove a decent second string ruck for that price but in saying that at that price if it pays off it will seem as a great pick up if it doesn't that is the big risk for that cash. So I'm putting him on my short list to watch him in the preseason.Either way the big question is

Will Matthew Leuenberger be selected by you in 2011?

Fletch74

I had him as my second ruck this year to start with, then I upgraded him to Cox about mid season. He didn't do much for me to start with, but then did well when I traded him  >:(

Too expensive for mine next year considering the situation that Brisbane have with their rucks.

Hmmm.... maybe for an unique, but would take something special

benjy251090

probably not for me, as ossie said, it would need something special for me to pick him

Wilkopolis

Assuming GC don't pick an established ruck then better value to be had picking whatever kid will be rucking for them.

Next year I think the ruck line for many will read Sandi, Petrie, GC 1st ruck, MPP rookie

Master Q

Nah, Sandi and Ryder already have the spot.

BratPack

Highly unlikely at that price. There are better options out there I think

EAGLE4LIFE

will see his preseason but there are lots of ruckman options for next year

So nice you said it twice?
Didn't mean to do that  ;D Really, I swear...

EAGLE4LIFE

haha i thought you were just repeating yourself

thatguy

whats the situation with jamie charman? he is going to be cheap as chips and could be very handy back up?

there actually might be some value in the ruck department for the first time! smith, bailey, charman...

Alex7089

No for me. Just don't think he will score well enough to be a keeper and I would prefer a set and forget combo for my rucks...
