Summary

Buddy started off as good value in 2010, resulting from his poor year in 2009. Buddy had a far greater year in 2010 scoring 10 centuries, and being quite consistent with his scoring. As you can see he still managed quite a good average, despite not having the best year that we have seen from him.

He achieved CHF status in the All Australian team as a result of his return to form this year.

Crystal Ball

Based on last year's magic number

Price: $570,800
Position: FWD

Buddy has the chance to still improve on last year and get back to his achievements of 2008, but this will depend on the Hawks supply and of course his kicking accuracy!!

Decision

He is definitely on my short list, as we all know he has the potential to score big, so will he be on yours?

For me it is a toss up between picking Franklin or Rioli. Franklin can kick a bag, but has a tendency to give away free kicks and get suspended. Rioli has more of an X factor and gets more possessions so can win the match and get more points. Still deciding between the 2...

buddy or rioli is a fiar call with the inroduction of a bye this year. when u think about it only 2 players at most 3 max could be picked from the one team. guess u have to keep a firm eye on the fixture for one.
if chappy can't be picked then i will strongly consider buddy, but buddy's average was like 107?? prob too expensive should get down to 450k during the year which would be more ideal.
so yea rioli i think will be popular next year. considering burgoyne next year will be at around 500k. then u have hodge who should be a lock regardless if he is a back or mid. tough one

Still can't believe people didn't lock him in this year at his starting price in 2010. Frustrating with suspensions, but not many forwards averaged over 100!

Will be looking at him

benjy251090

he was injured at the start of the year and then more niggles and suspensions turned me off him, i will more than likely wait for a down game or two before bringing him in

Wilkopolis

Will likely start with Franklin and hope Cyril can be picked as a midfielder.  Otherwise will hope to upgrade to Cyril after the Hawks 2nd bye

I think I will start with Cyril and just wait for Buddy to have some of those stinkers then I can pick him up a lot cheaper and if Hawthorn has the bye early then that would be even better.

ossie85

Some of his stinkers? Only had a low of 73 this year! That's pretty great for a KPP

i think i am with alex, cyril will be better priced at 500K than buddy at 570K

+1   570k is a fair chunk out of the budget. almost guarantee that by round 6 he'll have dropped the 70k anyway...then we pounce!!

BoredSaint

seems a bit overpriced atm..

pick him up later in the season when he drops a fair bit :)

Agree with the 2 coaches above me. Too pricey for me especially for a guy as up and down as him.

I'll jump on him when he drops to 450k.
