Summary
2010 saw Ryder fail to deliver consistency in his SC scores as everyone was expecting. Had a purple patch during the middle of the season for 6 or so rounds before tailing off to mediocrity. 2011 will hopefully see some consistency in his game as a new coach will hopefully bring the best out of this spring-heeled bomber.

At 450K, I will definitely be looking at Ryder’s pre-season with a view to filling one of my Ruck spots â€" especially as there are question marks over the fitness of the ageing and bruised bodies of Cox and Sandilands...

might be a little expensive
agreed. sandi will (or should be) just about everyone's first pick, with petrie coming in close second.

petrie will be in most peoples forward lines

Massive underachiever.  So much talent wasted.  If the new Essendon coach can work out how to get the best from him...watch out.

Not for those willing to give Tippett another dip

Master Q

50/50, I'm not giving Tip a go. If there isn't a 4th Ruck who's MPP, I'll probably go Ryder, but If there is, Probably Petrie.

Bringing this back up, what are your thoughts on him now prices have been released?

Petrie is a massive risk and could see us burning trades early on so iv gone with Cox and Sandi but I am willing to consider Sandi and Ryder.

I want to see him on a half forward/wing. With his athleticism, height, ground skills, relatively clean disposal and unbelievable engine (as he showed in that ANZAC game, just kept going)

I think he would rip it up! sadly with Hille out for the start of the season he will most likely be in the ruck, and with him averaging a fair bit less without his big buddy, he got dropped for Mumford in my team.
