Ryan O'Keefe

2010 Stats
Games: 21
Total Score: 1900 (Ranked 59th overall, Ranked 44th amongst midfielders, 12th amongst forwards)
Average Score: 90.48 (Ranked 78th overall, Ranked 52nd amongst midfielders, 15th amongst forwards)
High: 167 (Round 2)
Low: 25 (Round 17)
Standard Deviation: 34.75
Centuries: 9 out of 21
Starting Price: $576,300
High Price: $600,000 (round 4)
Lowest Price: $368,800 (round 19)

Summary:

ROK is very much a confidence player. When he has a purple patch, he can score like no other. Which is when people saw his starting price of $576,300 at the start of the year they were happy to pay it! And, after 5 rounds and averaging 118, everything was hunky-dory.

A series of seemingly uncharacteristic low scores saw his price dip below $400k and oppurtunistic  coaches took advantage of this. But ROK never really recovered, and was mediocre for most of the year, and severely damaged coaches in preliminary finals with a late withdrawal. 5 scores of 62 or lest is not what you'd want to see from a premium. Perhaps his damaging best is beyond him.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number

Price: $480,500
Position: FWD/MID

It is a tough one. Opposition coaches seem to have worked out ROK's game style. I would guess for a more inconsistency next year.

Should hopefully still be a FWD/MID MPP next year, though I'm not 100% sure they won't take away his forward role with only 16 goals this year.

Decision:

If only a midfielder, I will not go near him. At that price, as a MPP, it will be very tempting to slot him in. Let's face it, he had an average year, and was still ranked 12th in forward averages.

Hmm I don't know I thought he would be cheaper than that had a fairly down year I think there are better options out there for a similar price especially in the mids a no from me.

Master Q

At that price I think he could be one of the 2011 bargains, but if he's not MPP, I don't think I'll look at him, If he is, maybe  :P

Alex7089

I thought Jumping Jack was the 12th ranked forward ???
I'm not sure he is quite inconsistent and do you think he can get back to that 09 form?

Hawka

Was turned into a tagger so probaly not

Sorry, 12th total, 15th average

sunny_side_down

i see him in the luke hodge category of this year, around the same price and hit by injury. he is a gun, lock

Aidans Blues

Interesting one, struggled with the Groins for most of the year. If he's MPP I wi strongly consider

DazBurg

on the short list for me...will depend on cash flow and who other big names i get

You'd only consider him if he was still a FWD.

But at 480k you'd have to choose Goodes  (apparently 500k in 2011) over O'keefe. If he's below 450 then he'd be close to a lock, considering players like Giansiracusa were priced at 450k this year...there's really not too many players priced around 450 that are ready to break out...O'keefe is a proven scorer so at that price he'd be a steal.

When you mean FWD, you mean FWD aswell? I'm confused?

There's a conspiracy he might only be counted as a mid next year considering he played mainly there this year ;).

That price could be tempting considering I payed full price for him this year. If midfield though, a no. Or if he continues in his tagging role. Hasn't been able to score that well as a run with player.

SCADDICT

No to ROK. Think he's had a role change which doesn't suit SC.

ronl

Al lot depends on his new coach, ie will he still be used in a tagging role next year?  If so, I won't go near him.  I thinik his absolute best is probably behind him. but may trade up to him if he starts to look like the ROK of old.

benjy251090

i am the same ronl, also he can play that one bad game every now and then so could be an upgrade target from my rookies/midpricers
